We just got back from spending 3 nights at the Bentley Hotel. It was a great experience! Working with Shelissa was a pleasure---very down to earth and works with you every step of the way! The condo itself was in a perfect location for us. Since it is on 5th and Ocean, it is close enough to everything, but still far enough away from the louder places on the strip. There were plenty of amenities including a pool and rooftop sunbathing area, however, we didn't use these since it is right across from the beach! The condo comes with all of the things you may not think about when going on vacation---from a cooler to beach chairs, it was all there! I'd definitely stay here again. As for places nearby, the condo is above a TGI Fridays and a deli. We didn't go to the Friday's, but it would be a good option for people looking for a quick bite without going to the fancier restaurants on Ocean. The deli was a bit pricey, but still cheaper to grab sandwiches for the beach than to go to a sit down place for lunch. Although we didn't get to Prime One Twelve on this trip, I've been there before and it is FANTASTIC. It is very close to the condo, so if you're looking for a good (again, pricey) steakhouse, I'd highly recommend it. Other than that, the hotspots on Ocean are all walkable (Mangos. Wet Willie's, etc). If you want to try more upscale lounges, head to Lincoln Road or the hotels north of 16th. They are the places to see and be seen! We did not do any clubs, but all of the clubs people seemed to talk about were all nearby, as well (Mansion, Amnesia, Set-- little further). Overall, our trip to Miami was amazing. Many thanks to Shelissa!

We had a great time here in April 2012. The condo was exactly as presented and the hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. Having a parking permit in close vicinity was also very much appreciated. We'll be sure to visit again in the near future.

We arrived early and was able to check in after getting the paperwork. When we got to the room, we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the unit. It was a corner unit with a great view of the beach. The beds were comfortable. There is even a TV in the bedroom. Watching TV, however, is not reason you come to South Beach. The location was great. Located on Ocean Drive and 5th Street, you will have close access to the beach, Lummus Park, and great nightlife. You are within walking distance to Amnesia, Mansion, SoBe Live, and Play (if you are into that). There are also a large number of smaller bars and lounges within walking distance (I'm more into that). Right across the street from the hotel is a DecoBike bikeshare station. We did not use a cab (except to and from the airport) for the three nights we stayed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in SoBe.

I recently rented this condo for memorial weekend and I couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. Location was perfect, unit was very nice!! Im sure I worried the owner regarding the rental yet they always remained patient and kind and for that I am grateful. This was my first time renting through a private owner and the experience couldnt have been better. I would recommend this property to EVERYONE!! I would love to make this my prime rental location whenever I return to Miami. Thank you Shelissa and the staff at the Peralynna Inn! Your all ROCK!!

All in all a great time. Easter Friday and Sat can be loud as 5th St and N bound Ocean try to converge, and partiers keep it up until 3, making earplugs and eyemasks a sleepsaver if you poop out. The Bentley: great location, everyone goes by there eventually. Other days were pretty quiet as the inlanders left the beach to the idle sunworshippers. Late afternoons on the beach are very nice. For food: The News at 8th and Ocean Joe's Take Away, Grill Fish on Collins, and Whole Foods at 10th and Alton. Beach chairs under the bed. Ingenius self serve kiosk bike rental across the street. Weather and surf temp delightful. A few condo wrinkles were quickly ironed out by phone. Front desk had good info, helpful. Roof top pool has a great view. Rusty Pelican by car has a great city view. Downtown Miami has been revitalized met friends at their 36th floor penthouse. If you drive anywhere a GPS Navigator is very helpful

I recently stayed at this Miami beach condo during April 2011. I can't begin to describe how wonderful everything was. The kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed, the condo was beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable. The condo was perfect walking distance to everything I wanted, shops, the beach, and delicious restaurants. I enjoyed the roof top pool which was amazing to have when the beach was crowded during the day. The pool has a wonderful view of the ocean... it was to die for! After a long day of tanning and relaxing, I was always so excited to go back to the condo. I felt so safe and comfortable the entire trip. I highly recommend staying at this condo. When I return to Miami I will definitely stay here again. The owner was a pleasure to work with and made the entire process a breeze. Thanks again Shelissa!
Owner response:Sarah, Thank you for the fantastic review of our property! We are so happy to hear you had a good time in Sobe and look forward to hearing from you again for your next trip. Sincerely, Shelissa

We stayed at Shelissa's place at the Bentley for a few weeks in January and February 2011. The rental is located at the old Bentley Hotel, which is centrally located at 5th and Ocean, which is in the heart of the Art Deco District. Accordingly, it is just across ocean drive from the beach. The property is large, and we stayed there with our three children without ever feeling cramped. A lot of great restaurants just steps away, so finding stuff to eat is never a problem. Shelissa was also great and really went out of her way to ensure that our stay was great. Many thanks, and we'd definitely stay there again in the future.

We rented this gorgeous SoBe condo at the Bentley Hotel, right on Ocean Drive/5th Street over the New Year. The location couldn't have been more perfect, as everything is within walking distance (you don't really need a car). The pictures on the website don't do this place justice, as it is much better in person! The owner, Shelissa, is very easy to work with, and there were no issues with the reservation or the unit itself. Be sure to use the rooftop pool, or take a walk across the street to the beach area. There are beach towels in the unit for your use. There are tons of restaurants and shopping on Ocean Drive, as well as on Collins and Washington. Larios on the Beach is great for Cuban food (it is owned by Gloria Estefan), Jerry's Famous Deli on Collins, and Grazie Italian on Washington, were good places to eat. I would highly recommend this condo to others, and would rent it again on my next visit to SoBe!! Thanks, Shelissa, for the hospitality in your SoBe condo!! Rick & Michael
Owner response:Thank you for your wonderful comments Rick, and for being a gracious guest! It makes us happy to hear guests enjoy the property as mush as we do. We hope you have a healthy and happy New Year. -Shelissa

My family (2 adults, 2 children) stayed in the Kearney/Lynn condo recently and had a really nice time. The condo itself has marble floors and is very tastefully decorated...up-to-date and chic! The living areas overlook the main drive through south beach which is a plus and it we were surprised at how well the unit softened the beach noise. We could barely hear anything inside. The beach is literally across the street and was nice to have such a close walk. We plan on coming again after Thanksgiving and staying at the Kearney/Lynn condo again!

I loved the fact we were right on the strip and Fridays the restaurant was downstairs. I loved the view and a few staff members! However I didn't like the shower doors, dirty ice dispenser, radio and the missing closet door. I could deal with that but one roll of toilet tissue and paper towel for a 4 day stay. The rolls weren't fresh they were used prior. Even though we asked the front desk for supplies we were told to call a number. I found that rather ghetto. I also think the cleaning people could have cleaned the condo better. There is no reason I have a holes in my sheets or comforter. However, I made the best of things bc I enjoyed my company. I
Owner response:Unfortunately this is the first guest we have had charge for damages to the unit. Guests get upset and write dreadful false reviews when they are upset, despite the reason. This is the first we heard from the guest that they were unhappy during their stay, but we rest assured we were very upset with the state of the condo upon their departure. We have many guests that return year after year, and pro-athletes that visit our unit every month. I suggest reading their reviews. Enjoy your day and your stay in SoBe! :)

What our guests are saying... Everything you said (and more). What a beautiful place and accomodations. Got to meet Graciella, what a nice lady. Met her sister, she was with her. You can update your info (the parking garage is only 1 block away instead of 4). That's a plus. Again, what a joyous and refreshing vacation. Will keep you on my favorites page for future good times. Thanks again. Bob and Maureen

The Lynn family's condo is absoultely divine. We were looking for an elegant and peaceful vacation and the condo is exactly as the pictures portray it. We were very pleased with the generosity of the owners and the unit. Take advantage of the roof top pool and the VIEW!! This condo has an unbelievable view.

The biggest coup the Bentley Hotel pulls off is its ability to remain immune to the throngs of pedestrians on the well-traveled Ocean Drive outside. Guests enjoy a private front entrance that leads, via elevator, to the main lobby. Inside this enclave of Old World luxury you will find a charming ambience and an overly accommodating, professional staff. The hotel's 53 suites are both hotel rooms and condos; some of them can be rented year-round. Rooms come complete with marble floors, well-stocked kitchens, and roomy bathrooms with steam showers. Try not to get a corner room, though, or you will learn more about your neighbors than you'd ever want to. Because it is located on South Beach's bustling strip of neon and nightlife, the Bentley, despite its efforts to stand apart from the rest of its neighbors, isn't impervious to noise. However, if you want luxe in the midst of all the action, the Bentley is a great choice.
