We purchased Suite Dreams because of its special location that overlooks the animal life and the boating along the channel and in the Bay as you view it through the Yaquina Bay Bridge. Its a perfect place to relax and unwind, read a book, or perhaps to sip a glass of wine. And as you relax on the windowed settee in the living room, you'll often see seals bobbing up and down in the water as they themselves look at you; and, on occasion, you might see killer whales as they inspect the channel. For these and many other attractions, kids also love to lounge on the settee where they often take naps.
There is a view of the water from the bedrooms, kitchen, and living area. The large bedroom upstairs has a queen bed, reading area, deck, and a full bath. The kitchen and living area are spacious, inviting, and beautifully decorated.
The downstairs bedroom also has a queen bed, writing desk, lounge area with reading lamp, and, of course a view of the water, lighthouse, bridge, and wildlife. It has its own full bathroom.
The house has been designed with tile, wood floors and granite counters in the bathroom and kitchen. One of our visitors happened to be an interior designer from London and she helped put the "finishing touches" on what she calls "the perfect beach house". I can only hope that you will appreciate the special touches that we have added to make this your home away from home.

Why the Owner Chose Newport
We chose this particular townhouse because of its beautiful location on the South Jetty of the channel leading into Yaquina Bay. We eventually want to make it our home. We spent many summer days hiking in the sand dunes with the kids and dogs. The South Jetty is a great place to have a picnic as well. There is a 2 mile trail which is part of Park and Recreation, that the kids biked, rollerbladed and ran over the years of growing up here. A year ago Suite Dreams was built and now we have friends and family who also come play and relax here. It is a place that is good for the soul. We hope you like it as much as we do.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
We each have different favorite experiences. At the ocean-end of the South Jetty, the beach stretches southward for many miles, and we've often enjoyed walking these distances that, with so few people populating them, seem as if they are made for us alone.
I particularly love watching the boats come and go, the sea lions in the bay (they always appear to be looking at you) and the closeness to the walking trails and beach. Some of my other favorite things to do while sitting in the window seat are, looking at the bridge, lighthouse, Newport's Bayfront and listening to the fog horn and sea life noises.
Just a short walk to the ocean and the South Beach State Park with its trails. There are high sand dunes and miles of uninterrupted beaches that extend southward from the jetty.
Restaurants, Fish Companies, Discovery Bay Tours & Whale watching, Underwater Ocean Museum, and much more.
708 NW Beach Drive, the second shop to the right after passing under the Nye Beach Arch. The area has wonderful restaurants and taverns, galleries, and great beach walks.
225 SE Avery St: Basketball court, indoor track, fitness center, soccer court, meeting rooms, and scheduled classes for yoga and fitness.

Karen and George have lived in Newport for 28 years. Their children, Michael and Alexandra, were born and grew up in Newport. Our family has a boutique, Queen of Hearts, located in Nye Beach, which has been in business for 25 years. George is a scientist, retired but is still doing research.

we had an absolutely amazing holiday in Newport. George and Karen were so welcoming as hosts - from their prompt and pleasant first response to our enquiry all the way through to meeting George when we arrived (very early in the day, at no extra charge!) The property was immaculate and affordable, the location was perfect for our family and the home was so lovely.... We couldn't possibly have had a better stay :) The beds were so comfortable - I slept better than I do at home. The condo has been remodeled with luxurious touches and is very livable. The view is amazing - we watched sea lions frisking in the bay right from the sweet window-seat and the sunset on the bridge was breathtaking. I'd like to personally thank our hosts, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. You cannot go wrong by staying at this property!!
