Just returned from a wonderful, relaxing week in Key West with four adults and three kids (ages 5-10). The owner was responsive and easy to work with. The house was clean and even nicer than the pictures suggest. We've rented many homes through VRBO, and this one really had the feel of visiting a friend's home rather than a rental - with extra touches such as candles, hand soap, paper towels, and beautiful live plants. The bedding was comfortable, even the pull-out in the private den downstairs (other three bedrooms are upstairs). The pool was ice water this time of year, but that didn't stop the kids (much). The views from the back porches are incredible, and the kids loved climbing the trees over the edge of the bay. It's not a drop-off into the bay, but a shallow, gradual incline to calm waters, so no worries about the kids falling in. This secure little community offers a nice, peaceful escape from the busy activity downtown. The drive to get downtown is quick and easy, but expect to pay a premium for parking. The return trip from downtown to this location is currently a hassle due to the construction going on in Key West. The main road on the north side (Roosevelt) is only allowing one-way traffic, so while it would usually take 3 minutes to get to the Publix just east of the community, it now takes 20 minutes, but 3 home. If that's going to be a problem for you, expect to pay double to stay downtown and avoid the traffic. Otherwise, come enjoy the peaceful, laid back beauty of this property which we'd definitely rent again. The only negative was no wifi, but the owner is looking into that. We also received a prompt and full refund of our security deposit!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This home was absolutely amazing. The place was even bigger and more beautiful in person than I ever expected. I would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone heading to Key West! 5 stars all the way. :)Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
