House was amazing and exactly as shown in photos. Location was perfect for walking into town and we did not have to drive once. Plenty of room and guest house was perfect and felt private from home. Amazing infinity edge pool and spa. Would recommend to friends who appreciate mid-century architecture and beautiful setting close to the mountains. Planning a second trip back in Spring!

The Butterfly Home made our memories of Palms Springs an unforgettable one. From the booking to check in to checking out. Working with Michael was a pleasure and I would definitely do it again. Here are the things we loved about the Butterfly House: 1. Aesthetically Pleasing - no expenses spared when they remodeled and furnished this house. 2. Comfortable - comfortably sleeps and accommodates a party of 8 people still allowing privacy. 3. Location - Prime spot and walking distance to the strip and most bars and restaurants. 4. Well Maintained - everything is in tip-top-shape and all appliances in great working condition. 5. No hidden fees - The flat rate includes everything (tax, cleaning, etc.) 6. Some place to call home - Most of the time we never wanted to leave. I've heard too many horror stories of vacation homes where the ac/heat doesn't work, no propane, pool/spa heat not working, etc. It was a relief to find nothing bad to say about the rental. Thanks Michael and you'll be hearing from me soon!

Came to Palm Springs with another couple for a long weekend not really knowing what to expect. The house is in a great location, 15 minute drive from the airport, walking distance to downtown Palm Springs, restaurants, shops, spa, tennis. Beautiful home set against the San Jacinto Mountains that feel like they are growing straight up from the beautiful back yard. Perfect for two to three couples, extended families, guys golf weekends, girls getaways. We stayed in main house, friends stayed very comfortably in guest house (all amenities). . Because of the separate guest house there is plenty of privacy. Spent many hours lounging by the pool and spa. Love the shallow pool area where you could sit comfortably in about an inch of water. Grounds are immaculate and well designed. Gas BBQ outside. Everything is clean and well maintained, which even surpassed my wife's standards. Main house and guest house well appointed with modern fixtures and appliances. Large master bedroom (big screen), two good size guest bedrooms in main house. Large great room area with a stocked cook's kitchen, great glassware, big screen TV with Satellite. Garage to store car and golf clubs. Separate laundry facilities. Indian Wells Golf about 15 minutes south, well manicured, reasonable and interesting course, some great hiking also 15 minutes south. I could have easily stayed a week. Margs, chips and salsa, cheese and crackers, champagne and beer. Someone grab me another. Great place, great time.

Just spent my birthday weekend here with 3 other couples and had such a fabulous time! It was so hot we didnt even leave the house, which is just what we wanted - relax and do absolutely nothing. Perfect lounge! This home really has all the amenities you need. The backyard of this home is definitely my fave!

Just stayed at the house for the 2nd time in 10 months. We rented it for Thanksgiving in 2010 and fell in love. I wanted to celebrate my 40th birthday in Palm Springs and couldn't wait to stay there again. It was perfect for throwing a party and we had a wonderful time. We stayed for 4 days and am I already planning our next visit! The house is beautifully decorated and maintained. It's walking distance to downtown Palm Springs, restaurants, shops, and bars. I honestly cant think of a better home to stay in when you are in town. I hope one day I can convince the owners to sell it to us! LOL!!

After seven friends and myself stayed at this beautiful home, we just had to make sure and write a review! Without a doubt we recommend this home for the perfect Girls Get Away. Once a year we have a get away and usually stay at casino hotels, but opted a rental instead. This Butterfly home was all we needed it to be. The Casino, clubs and dancing were close enough for some to go,and some just styaed and enjoyed the relaxation that the home offers.It was voted, unanimous, that we would return next year...if not sooner. Definitely recommend for anyone to go and stay, but based on personal experience this one time, a Girls weekend definitely.

My husband, me and our two small daughters (from Germany) startet our trip to California in Palm Springs. We rented the house for 9 nights. It was a great experience. The owner Michael always respond our questions quickly and very friendly. The introduction up on our arrival was uncomplicated. The house is very clean, modern and excellent equipped. The walking distance (5 to 10 min.) every morning to Starbucks and the hot spots of Palm Springs was great. The next supermarket and CVS is near by. The pool area is quiet and private. Nobody can see inside the garden area and the sun is present from 8.30am till 8pm - you can watch the sunset from the pool area. The view to the mountains is spectacular. The aircondition works very well- this is important during the hot summer time. If you are looking for a relaxing, modern and quiet house in Palm Springs - the butterfly home is the perfect place to stay!

Myself and my family stayed here for three weeks and we loved our stay. The villa was spacious and we absolutely loved the pool area, great way to cool down in the Palm Springs heat! The villa is kitted out with all the amenities you require and the interior furniture and decoration suites the house perfectly. You also have the added bonus of being able to walk into Palm Springs. The owner Michael was extremely helpful through out our stay, we could not of asked for more. If we come back to Palm Springs again we'd definitely stay here!

We (3 couples) stayed at the "Butterfly House" the first week of April, 2011. The house was exactly as we imagined and as advertised. Enough space for privacy but plenty of common space for "gathering". Very cool design and decor and very thoughtful accomadations. For example the Infinty pool and hot tub were perfectly accented by the in ground fire pit. Plenty of table space, chairs and loungers for outdoor relaxation and a no-clutter but comfortable indoor arrangement. I'm not a designer or an architect (and obviously not a travel writer) but this house has a great location, is low-keyed and quite and serves very well as a home for up to 8 people for week of Palm Springs vacationing. Works for me!

We had a house full for Thanksgiving weekend, and the place couldn't have been more perfect. The pool, the house, the outdoor fire feature, everything was amazing. We will definitely be coming back for a visit! AND the fact that it was walking distance to downtown Palm Springs was the cherry on top!!

An hour after checking in, our group was already trying to make a plan to come back. The house is gorgeous, a perfect mix of vintage mid-century character & modern amenities. The location is an easy walk to town. The owner is gracious & accommodating. We would recommend this property to friends & family in a heartbeat.

My girlfriends and I experienced the Butterfly Home over Mother's Day weekend and I couldn't have asked for anything more! It was not only an amazing home but in a great location. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out yet also felt very comfortable. There is a full kitchen and eating area we were able to enjoy for a few meals and snacks and then were close enough to walk everywhere else. We sat poolside most the time just enjoying the backyard and eachothers company. The photos of the home don't do it justice! I would love to bring my family back as well... or maybe do another girls weekend first.

I rented this home with 7 of my girlfriends for my birthday. It was perfect for a group of 8 close friends and would be great for a family or couples!! From the moment we contacted the owner to reserve the house all the way to the end of our stay was nothing but a wonderful experience. We loved how private the property was especially the pool area. With a tanning bed built into the salt water pool we never wanted to leave it! I stayed in the private casita and I must admit I felt like a birthday princess! The house was immaculately clean and there was everything we needed with out any clutter! The pictures of this house are very accurate. However, two of the characteristics that the pictures can't capture is all the beautiful light and the great vibe this house has, it is like a breath of fresh air. I would absolutely recommend this rental to any of my friends and can't wait until I get the opportunity to visit is again!!!

My boyfriend and I went there with two other couples for my Birthday. Wow, what can I say. Believe it or not, the place is even better than the pictures (and, as you can see, the pictures are great). If you are looking for a place with first class amenities, this is the place to stay. I've stayed in other places in Palm Springs but The Butterfly House is by far my favorite. The location is awesome and the place is extremely clean. You are steps away from a drink/dinner at the Viceroy. Not to mention downtown Palm Springs is a short walk from the house. My favorite part of the house is the separate "casita", complete with its own bathroom and really cool outdoor shower! Overall, the layout and style of this house is really something to experience. There is no question I will stay here again, hopefully soon!

My husband and I have stayed at this home twice now and we absolutely love it!! Aside from it being gorgeous inside and out, its super clean, and has everything we needed for the weekend. The pool and hot tub are awesome and super relaxing. We also love the location and enjoyed having cocktails across the street at the Viceroy. We can't wait for the next time we get to stay there!!
