The cabin was as described in the listing. The kitchen was comfortable and offered plenty of room for three chefs. The back porch was absolutely the cabin's best feature with comfortable furniture and a great gas grill. We took the dogs, and having the property completely surrounded by fencing gave us great peace of mind that the dogs could come and go at will. There was an enormous fire pit in one corner of the yard - super for chasing the evening chill. The living area fireplace did a great job for the morning chill, too. The owner was very responsive and accomodating. We would certainly recommend the cabin.

My daughter and I setup a surprise for my son-in-law's 40th birthday. The scenery was quite breathtaking, once we arrived at the cabin we were pleasantly surprised by the back patio; so inviting and relaxing, we spent a lot of time out there relaxing. The cabin was quite roomy and comfortable. All I can say is we all enjoyed our stay and our granddaughters did not want to go back home.

We had a wonderful time at this 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cabin! We had 2 adults, 2 children (5 years), and 2 dogs! The location is perfect, nestled in the woods of Whispering Pines, with privacy, and a big fenced yard so that kids and dogs could safely play outside! The property is clean and well-maintained, and the owners were so helpful! We highly recommend this property if you enjoy getting away for a great family trip! It snowed while we were here, and it was absolutely beautiful! What a better vacation than to have fresh snowfall, a fire in the fireplace with your family!! Thanks for a wonderful time...we will definitely be back again!!

My two sisters and I rented the cabin for a much needed weekend of R&R. This 2 bedroom cabin is a wonderful place to relax; very warm and welcoming! We brought two dogs (puggles) with us and they thoroughly enjoyed the freedom to run around and explore the yard (after I convinced my sister that they wouldn't get out thru the bars in the entrance gate). The surrounding cabins/homes are far enough apart that you still have privacy. We couldn't have asked for a better place to escape from the heat and from the hustle & bustle of the city. I will definitely rent this place again! There is no cell phone reception, but is a phone in the cabin. (Bring a calling card for long distance.)

Our four night stay proved to be oh so short. We relished spending quiet, restful time on the deck overlooking the creek where we could sit and read for hours and time would just disappear. The cabin is so tastefully furnished and decorated that had the weather been less than perfect, it would have still been a relaxing, stress-free getaway. The yard proved to be very dog friendly as it is completely secure. Our two year old golden retriever, Tia loved running around the full yard and we could leave her unrestrained and that certainly was a big plus. We also enjoyed the fire-pit as we had forgotten how much fun it was to roast hot dogs under the star-filled sky...we could easily recognize stars in the galaxy that we have not seen for years...what a beautiful sight! Every amenity was provided, so if we had forgotten to bring something, it was already there. The wifi availability made our son equally happy as he could pick up his sport team and not "miss" anything. Thank you, Liz and Ric for sharing this jewel of a cabin. We look forward to coming again and exploring the surrounding areas.

We had such a wonderful time up at the cabin. The dogs loved being out in the woods. We drove out in to the forest and went for hikes everyday. The last day the creek was really flowing and it was so relaxing to sit out on the porch. Are there eagles by the creek? Early Tuesday morning I was sitting outside and flying low along the creek I saw a Bald eagle (white head), it was just awesome. The next morning there was a Blue Heron standing in the creek. I got a picture of it. Thanks again for being a dog friendly cabin.

The cabin is amazing. It is SO roomy, and the big back porch and fenced yard ensured that everyone had plenty of elbow room. Everything was spotlessly clean, and was decorated with loving care. We had a crew from 3 years old to 71 and they all wanted to stay longer and definitely come back next year! The two teens and 6 yr old really liked the Wii (they bought a game cartridge to play--there is not one in the game at the cabin). While I have mixed feelings about playing Wii when there is outdoors to enjoy, I suppose I'm just being an old fogey. Everyone enjoyed the fire ring and watching stars in the beautiful night sky was a treat, too. No wildlife around, perhaps due to the many dogs in the neighborhood. We loved Gerardo's restaurant--really exceptional, and Laura's Small Cafe, which is a little hard to spot in a nondescript strip mall, but well worth the search. Fishing in the lake at Green Valley Park, where there is also a nice playground and visiting the Zane Grey Cabin were activities that appealed to various family members. Always lots of activities in Payson, Pine and Strawberry. And we enjoyed a side trip to Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. All together the long weekend exceeded our expectations.

My family and I stayed here in early June. We couldn't have been happier. The property is fenced in so the dogs had a blast. It was nice and quiet with the exception of the neighbors dogs occasionally. We spent most of the time on the porch where we read, napped and watched the hummingbirds. My one and a half year old son had a blast running around the yard as well and he enjoyed the toys that were there. We will definitely be going back at least once during each season. Thanks to Ric and Liz for allowing us to stay. Mike, Olga, Aleksandr & the furry gang

This cabin is great. We went up north to play in the snow and this cabin was in a good location. There was more than enough snow to play in and our kids played from the time we got there until the day we left. I highly recommend this cabin and would certainly stay there again. Big thanks to Liz and Ric for sharing their home.

This is the coziest cabin with all the updated amenities one could wish for! The deck is fabulous, the yard is huge with firepit, horseshoes, and fence for the dogs. Our dogs played outside for hours, we hardly saw them inside at all! The creek is just behind the house and is a hit or miss if running. Even if dry, there are so many trails to go hiking and explore...very secluded, we hardly saw any other hikers. I've rented alot of houses in the past, and although the cabin is 2 bedrooms, it feels much bigger and could easily host 4 adults, 3 kids, and a baby(crib). We love the price & location, very friendly owners - Enjoy!

We really enjoyed staying at your home, the hummingbirds were plenty and it was fun to sit out on the deck and watch them flutter and twitter around for food, chasing each other. The home was very spacious and comfortable having everything that we needed to make ourselves at home. Very tastefully decorated too. Your home was very easy to find and the price was definitely right! The area of Whispering Pines is very nice, good location for walking, hiking, and fishing, not too far from town either. We would definitely stay here again. Best wishes to the Baker Family and thanks again.

Rain Creek Cabin was the perfect get-a-way for our family. The wonderful open deck was my favorite, since reading and watching the hummingbirds was fine with me. We kept the feeders full, and never a moment went by without entertainment! The kids went on numerous walks down the creek and through the paths and took beautiful pictures. The fenced in yard was also a plus, because even the most well-behaved dog may want to explore. The cabin was clean and extremely comfortable, with a beautiful drive back and forth into town. Since the creek wasn't running, we found a nice spot 3 miles N on the Beeline at Verde Estates Rd. --awesome place to relax and wade in the water. We will certainly pass Rain Creek Cabin on to our friends, and are already talking about next summer! Thanks to Ric and Liz for their "very last minute" accomodations- we had a great time. We really enjoyed the cabin. It was very cozy and peaceful. Perfect for a family get away with all the amenities of home. The owners were very easy to deal with and provided many extras such as paper towels, shampoo and soap. Couldn't ask for more, and the price was great too!

We had an amazing time! The cabin was very cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The kids room was adorable with a woodland creature theme (my daughter loved the bunkbeds). The creek was also empty when we arrived, but on the second night it was full. My daughter and dogs had a great time playing in the water, and I enjoyed sitting on the deck at night listening to it. We saw a lot of wildlife including a herd of elk, racoons, bunnies, and even a hawk eating a fish by the creek. The firepit in the backyard was a perfect ending to each day, and the view of the stars was amazing! We hated to leave, and we hope to go back again and again!

This cabin is beautiful! The creek was dry when we arrived which made great exploring. The next night to our surprise the water was flowing! Our son loved the yard along with our dog. It was so relaxing on your deck in the early morning and in the evening. Very peaceful, we will be staying there again. Thank you Ric and Liz for sharing your awesome home!
