My wife and I rented this house in May and had a great vacation week. We love staying in the Clermont area and this house is in a great location. The house was great and we had no major issues. There are minor details that could be addressed, but as far as vacation rentals, this one is well worth the money. The owner was accessible and helpful when we did have a question. Would love to rent this house again the next time we visit central Florida. I loved the Orange County National Golf Club and we both enjoyed the pool at the house and the neighborhood pool at the clubhouse. The new Publix opened the week of our vacation, about five minutes away.

Recommended for:Sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+.

So bad we could not spend a night there

We rented this property for a special family holiday for ourselves and two sons and their families over the Easter period. Our American based son arrived first as the rest of us were flying in from UK. The condition of the property was so bad with mould that we could not stay overnight. The agent suggested we did stay and he would send builders in to take down walls the next day - hardly the holiday we had planned. The place had tomato ketchup smears down the doors and stains over the carpets. We had been assured on email that the pool had a fence round it as we had a toddler and baby with us - there was no fence round the pool when we got there. After 3 hours of phoning round, my son managed to find another property we could rent for the 6 days. This was without help from the agent. Our special family holiday began with this disaster but fortunately we had a great time in the lovely clean property we moved to. We have since had a full refund but no compensation for all out trouble and trauma.

Owner response:The son checked in at 3pm on April 21st. I received a call from him at 4pm stating he fully inspected the home before the rest of his party arrived, and he has deemed the home "uninhabitable", "unsafe" and a disaster! I was surprised to hear all that was wrong with the home, since I was there the evening before their check-in, and the home was cleaned, and ready to go. If you look at the last positive review left months ago, those guests actually checked out the day before this guest arrived, and loved the home. So with this being said, how my home became "uninhabitable" after the last guest checked out, and my personal inspection the night before, was quite shocking (because I knew it wasn't true). But being cooperative, I told him I would have my crew over at 8am the next morning to address any concerns, and I would make things right. He said he would have to confirm with his mother. He then called me back at 6pm, and told me that they would not be staying at my home, as he had miraculously found another 5 bed home in a luxury, gated resort community, and they would spend their EASTER holiday there. He then told me the new luxury home was twice as much money as mine for the week, and the least I could do besides refund their money, was pay for the new luxury home. I quickly believed this must be some kind of ruse. I told him that once they have departed my home, and were refunded in full, it was out of my hands. I refunded them via the internet upon their departure, and had the door lock combo changed. The home is absolutely fine, as pictured, and not at all as described in this review. I am very easy to work with, very attentive, but I will not be taken advantage of. Terry

This house was located a short drive to Magic Kingdom but far enough away to offer relaxation after a bust day. There is a market just down the street which made meal prep a breeze. Pick your own citrus was just 4 miles away on route 27. Both the kids and adults enjoyed the pool and hot tub. One recommendation would be another trash barrel as trash pick-up is 2x per week and our crew generated more trash than the one could hold. Easy rental, nice cooperative owner. We would recommend to a friend and would rent again.

Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Relaxing Vacation

We rented this property over Christmas and the owners were very nice and helpful. The house was comfortable, a lot of wear on the furniture and on the floors. The house wasn't as clean as expected, there was a huge yellow puddle under a chair and the bathrooms weren't as clean. The spa wasn't as good as I thought...it took a long time to heat and had to contact the owner a few times but he was responsive. The games room was a plus and loved it. It was the nicest spot :-), the Wii was an added touch. I loved the fact that I could take my doggies and they had fun too! Overall, we had a great time! Thanks so mcuh

Owner response:Thanks.....I guess! Just to clarify a couple of things. It was in the 20's and 30's at night, 40's and 50's during the day and it will take a little longer for a hot tub to heat up in the record breaking low temperatures we had! Not really sure what you mean by alot of wear on the furniture and floors, especially as it is tile throughout? I was at the house just before their arrival and it was spotless as always. The tile floors were pine-sol mopped clean. They may want to ask one of their little miniature doggies about that "yellow puddle"???
