We stayed for 3 days to "just get away" and breath...this was a great location & place to relax. The property was great..we walked to everything...from a slice of pizza to a 5 course romantic meal one night! We walked on the beach multiple times a day and read on the back dock while the pelicans fished! The room had everything we needed and the price for the location was a super great deal! Amy (owner) and Tom (on site manager) were great and easy to work with! This will be a "keeper" on our revisit list for sure!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This property is amazing. I am so thankful I found this place. I cant wait to go back. The beach is across the street, I counted one day, it took me 156 steps! The pier is a few blocks down the street and everything is within walking distance. Tom, the property manager was great and greated us with a beer! I cant wait to go back! Thank you Amy for the wonderful place!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

The kitchen and bath were cute. The unit was clean and the grounds well kept. The beach was gorgeous. It was nice that we could walk to go out to eat. A newer matress would really help. Amy was great to work with.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

This property is exactly as described. It's clean, close to everything and the perfect size for a couple or small family. Great value across from the beach!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had so much fun a Riptide. The pictures don't even do the condo justice!! The condo is very clean and spacious. We didn't even hear any of the other people outside or in connecting walls of the other condos. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Riptide is right across from the beach and in walking distance to some great restaurants and shopping. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Great place for a great price, we will definitely be back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway

Riptide was prettier than the pictures listed on the VRBO website. The place was bigger than it appeared and was so clean and well cared for. Tom lives there and manages the place wonderfully. He's around for any questions you might have of where to eat and such. We loved the mexican restaurant he recommended to us. We enjoyed exploring all the shops and just walking the beach. We spent one day and rented bikes to get to Lover's Key it's a Park at the opposite end of the island but you can also drive there. The shells we got off the beach there are beautiful. It had hiking trails or bike trails and we saw butterflies, tortoises that crossed our paths and just nature at its finest. You can also swim, kayak, or canoe there. Our favorite restaurant on the island was The Beached Whale because you can go to the rooftop and eat in the open air. We also liked the Yucatan too. We hated leaving because we had such a good time. You won't be disappointed in Riptide. We loved it and hope to return soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Loved this place. It was clean, close to everything, and very affordable. Great for couples, not sure about bringing my kids (fear of disturbing other guests) but will probably try it once. I will definitely be back, perfect place to hang out, close walking distance to Town Square with plenty of places to go dine at and shop at the shops. Met Tom and he was very friendly and helpful for anything we needed during our stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great spot, close to beach and backs onto to canal with boat rental available. The Florida style accomodations are clean, tidy & well maintained. We BBQ'd on the back patio after meeting all sorts of great people traveling thru....Within walking to all....Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Loved staying at Amy's condo at Riptide over Christmas. The pictures are very accurate. Condo was very clean and modern, and a great deal. Easy walk to Time Square for dinning, shopping, partying. Owner Amy was very prompt in replying and the on site property Manager Tom was always there and helpful with recommendations. Will stay again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We just got home from Riptide after a 5 day stay & absolutely LOVE IT!!! It was within walking distance to restaurants, bars, beaches, souvenir/T-shirt shops, & Times Square. We had a very relaxing vacation & are already planning to make this a yearly trip. Riptide is very clean & has everything you could want. Very refreshing tropical environment. Tom, the property manager, is very nice & willing to help anyway he can. Amy, the owner of the condo we stayed in, was great to work with as well. Overall, I would recommend Riptide to anyone needing some R&R. Just far enough from all the activities to be quiet & relaxing but also just close enough to walk where ever your heart desires. Every time we plan a trip to Ft.Myers, we ALWAYS plan to stay at the Riptide! It provides us with a "home away from home" with a tropical feel. The atmosphere is layed back and comfortable. Tom is always there when you need anything and the place is immaculate. We have stayed in several rooms and found them all to be modern, fully stocked and clean. The beach is right across the street. Easy when you have kids. Watch for the ice cream carts beachside! Family shopping and restaurants as well as night life is only a short walk away. We had a wonderful stay at the Rip Tide Condos on Fort Myers Beach. The rooms were clean, very nicely decorated and a great deal. We stayed at Riptide on Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time! The property manager, Tom, was always available and extremely helpful. The condo was easily accessible to the beach and restaurants. The property was kept beautifully maintained and our unit had everything that we needed.
