The “I Melograni del Chianti” farm holiday residence is located in the Tuscan hills, in the small medieval town of Talciona, a perfect barycentre in between the biggest cities of art in Tuscany: Florence, Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano.
Our residence has been luxuriously restored and furnished by the new management, who have created highly pleasurable accommodation that is intimate, but at the same time has a lived-in feel.
You can enjoy a breathtaking view from any of the apartments: the mellow profile of the Tuscan hills covered in olive groves and vineyards, and an alternation of woods and small towns that reminds us of the area’s origins and gives a picture of tranquility and peace which has mostly been forgotten.
In the immediate vicinity, the splendid Romanesque church of Santa Maria in Talciona, which was built in the XI century, as well as the Strozzavolpe castle, which you can clearly see was built in the Middle Ages, complete the landscape and are endearing places to visit during your walks in the vicinity of our farm holiday residence.

We have recently returned from Italy. Our stay at I Melograni was everything we imagined. The accommodations were excellent, very comfortable, warm and inviting. The grounds were what you would picture in the Tuscany region ( wonderful views ).The location of the Villa is great away from the hustle & bustle , but perfect for exploring the area. Serena was truly a wonderful host and most helpful! We look forward to returning.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We recently returned from Italy and had a wonderful time here. Serena had great suggestions about places we were going to visit. Despite the intermittent rain showers it was a lovely place to return to each night. I will remember it fondly!

We recently returned from a holiday in Italy and stayed at Serena's Folocare apartment at I Melograni. It was all it was advertised to be and more. Serena is a lovely, helpful host and the apartment was cozy, comfortable, immaculate, and entirely charming. The grounds were beautiful, and we just couldn't drink in enough of it. The location was very central to visiting the sites around Florence and Sienna. For us, this represented the essence of Chiani - in the middle of olive trees and vineyard away from the bustle of the city. We have already raved about it to our friends, and I hope we can manage to return for another visit.
