Bald Head is an exclusive island. No cars are permitted. The only access to the island is via boat. (A ferry runs every hour from 6 am to 11 pm)
Primary modes of transportation once on the island are golf carts, bikes, or walking. Use of our two golf carts (one 4-seater, one 6-seater) is included with the house. There are several restaurants on the island and a well-stocked grocery store offers plenty of variety. We also have a hardware store and several shops.
This is an ideal home in an ideal vacation destination if you are looking to truly relax. Leave your worries on the mainland and enjoy the peacefulness of nature's beauty at its best.

My husband DJ and I own this home with my parents, Dick and Pat, who are full-time Bald Head Island residents. We are now raising our three young girls to love BHI as well!
Why the Owner Chose Bald Head Island
We fell in love with BHI when my parents built their first home in 1997. When this one came for sale around the corner, needing love after the 1999 hurricane season, we couldn't pass it up. It is now our most enjoyable investment!
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love how free the girls feel when they are here. The absence of cars means much more freedom on bikes! They love West beach - lots of shells, wildlife, water sunsets - it is our favorite best kept secret. The beach access is less than a block and visible from the house.
