  I've been coming to Oak Island for 35 years and without reservations, I'd say "Noteworthy" ranks at the top! The minute you step inside, you know you are in a home you will have trouble leaving at the end of your stay. It is so bright, roomy, colorful, very clean and comfortable, the perfect location! The owners have thought of everything and were wonderful to work with. The beach beckons you to leave the back porch rockers and enjoy the beautiful beach just steps away. Two of my favorite places to dine at Oak Island are Island Way (at the pier) and Turtle Island. Of course, Southport is a charming seaport town with unique shopping and some fun waterfront dining spots. I'd readily recommend this property to anyone looking for that elusive bit of paradise.

  Back around Halloween we knew we wanted to get away during Winter Break week. So we found Noteworthy here on VBRO, emailed Beverly and when February came around we had been all set for months. Entry was a breeze, the house was clean and inviting and lived up to its description. We would reccomend it to anyone who would like to live with the Ocean a few steps away from their back door.

  What a week!!! The weather was the best and so was the house. We were very comfortable in all the rooms. Your repair man was very helpful with all the places to eat. We so enjoyed the front porch to read and listen to the waves. The men caught some fish and the whole beach watched him catch a stingray and return it to the ocean. Hope to return again next fall

  We had a great week at Noteworthy! The house was spacious and well equiped for a great time at the beach. Our favorite thing to do was to sit out on the porch every evening, enjoying the constant breeze from the water. While it was hot the week we were there that constant breeze made it very bearable. A good time was had by all and I would definetly recommend Noteworthy. Thank you Beverly.

  Our family of 4 (myself, my husband, 24 year old daughter and 21 year old son +dog) had a relaxing two weeks at Noteworthy. As the kids are all moving out of state, we wanted some time to just be together. We so enjoyed the beach, rocking away in the rockers on the deck, room to spread out and of course the wireless internet. House was clean, well maintained and has everything you could need including some beautiful views.. Hosts were very gracious and timely when we contacted theml. Had the maintenance man over one afternoon and he was a delight. Grocery store close by and there is a grill at the house. You do need to climb stair to enter the house from either door so some might need to take this into consideration. This house would be great for families, couples sharing a house or an amazing girls retreat. Both the pictures and description of this home were right on. If you like seafood, you should visit the laid back "Provisions" restaurant on the water in Southport. You walk in and place your order at a counter and they bring it out to you. Food as delicious We also enjoyed a dinner a Fish House on Oak Island. Most will get at least two meals out of their dinner unless you share.

  Noteworthy is a very apt name for this wonderful beach house. If you are a beach lover this is the ideal place for you. The views of the beach are really breath taking whether viewed from the covered porch while sitting in a rocker or out on the deck. Walking the beach is also wonderful. You can walk for miles. The house is beautiful. Light, bright, clean and airy and is much bigger than the pictures would lead you to believe. It is also very well stocked with all of your essential needs, including a wine cooler! There are also other little details which make this a special place things like towels wrapped with ribbons and a mint. The house is also in easy driving distance of Soutport a lovely town that has great restaurants and shops. Also most importantly, Beverly, the owner, is great to deal with. It is also pet friendly for those of you who can't go away without that essential member of your household.

  We had a wonderful time during our stay here. It was nice having options with both a loft and a den at the home. Also, you cant beat being oceanfront. We are looking forward to coming here again!
