We had a wonderful time during our stay here. It was nice having options with both a loft and a den at the home. Also, you cant beat being oceanfront. We are looking forward to coming here again!

Noteworthy is a lovely, clean, quiet & well maintained home. My family and I were comfortable & completely enjoyed our short walk to the beach (you can't get any closer!) as well as the provided linens, towels and beach equipment. Kitchen is also stocked with a wide variety of cooking tools. Beautiful views of the ocean from the front porch. We plan on returning next year! Many thanks Beverly.

Great beach house

I stayed at this house with a few friends for a long weekend this March. The house was absolutely beautiful, and even after seeing the pictures we were all so pleasantly surprised about how close to the beach it was. It was wonderful to be able to walk right off the deck to the beach, and to see the waves from almost every room. Even when it rained, the house itself was so nice that we had a great time just relaxing inside. Also, the owner of the house made the whole rental process very straightforward and simple. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Not too big -- not too small!! Not too elaborate -- not too rustic!! Not too far from town -- not too close!! Everything about this house was "just right"!! Even the pillows -- "just right"!! The beds were comfortable, and the linens were so nice! The kitchen was furnished with everything you could possibly need -- there's even a wine cooler!!. The convenience of a washer & dryer was wonderful. There are two living rooms with bright-colored suede sofas & chairs - perfect for snuggling with a good book or nap. Several TV's with full cable. Right on the beach with full view of the ocean from downstairs & upstairs. In addition to all of the above, the Hazelwoods are gracious landlords.

Beautiful and Peaceful Location

My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I had a wonderful visit during our week long stay. It was so peaceful to wake up to the ocean and play on the beach. We also visited Southport, Bald Head Island and Caswell Beach. Our small doggies walked the beach with us and got lots of exercise. We'll be returning!

Noteworthy was exactly what we wanted...clean, comfortable, pet friendly, and steps from the beach. Beverly and her husband were wonderful hosts. The house is well furnished and has a prime location. I am hesitant to say how wonderful Oak Island is...becasue I don't want it to get too crowded. It had just the right amount of people with great shopping and restaurants. We also loved Southport, and it is only 10 minutes away. I would recommend Oak Island and Noteworthy to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Fun Family Vacation Spot

We rented noteworthy for a week last summer. We have 4 children under 12 and the convenience to the beach, pier, and local spots that this property afforded was priceless. We loved the two sitting areas and the kids took over the loft and made it their special hideaway. It was clean and lovely. We were sad that our week ended as quickly as it did. Thanks for having us.

Our goal is to provide a home environment with colorful surroundings and easy access to the beach. With the porch, the deck and the walk-way to the dunes, there is plenty of outside space for guests to commune with each other or have quiet hammock time in the breeze-way near the deck. The pictures on the VRBO website relay the warm and inviting setting that is indeed NOTEWORTHY!

Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The second floor, which is open and airy, is like a private retreat. Walk out the back deck directly to the beach walkway. Oak Island is a wonderful place to vacation - just enough shopping and restaurants without being crowded and loud. All linens and towels are included. Clean and very well maintained. Fully equipped kitchen. Everything you need for the beach. Washer and dryer (including detergent!) Beds, couches, bathrooms and tv's for everyone! The pictures are great - being there - priceless!

My husband and I along with our four-legged child spend the most relaxing week at Noteworthy in October, 2009. This was our first stay in Oak Island but I promise - it will not be our last! The house was just perfect for us. My husband loves to surf fish as does our dog. They were on the beach from sun up to sun down and I could come and go at my leisure. We are already reserved for another week this fall. Thanks, Bev, for making our time away from it all such a wonderful experience!

My husband, 5 year old and 2 year old stayed at "Noteworthy" this past August 2009 for a week. Beverly was so easy to work with and she answered all of my questions promptly. The property was awesome for my family and it was so nice to have the house oceanfront. We didn't have to drag everything down to the beach with us. I even got to see my 5 year old learn to boogie board while my 2 year old was taking a nap. I will definitely stay here again. The house was well equipped and a great location. The nicest place we have stayed anywhere on the coast. Clean, nicely renovated, beautiful house. Right on the ocean. Fantastic views. Owners are the nicest people you're likely to meet. What a great time. We'll definitely do this again.

We stayed at Noteworthy for about a week this July, from the start of our vacation to the end i have nothing but high praise for the owner, house and area. Beverly was extremely easy to deal with and her property exceeded my expectations. The house was fully equipped for my family of a me, my wife a 17 yr, 5yr and 20 mo. old., it was clean, up to date and you could tell it was well take of. With literally a couple of steps to the ocean it made bringing all the things our crew needs to the water a easy trip. I would not hesitate to book this house for a vacation again.
