  We stayed for one week. It was fabulous. There was no reason to leave the property except for food supplies. Of course, if you wanted to leave, there were plenty of tourist areas to visit. The rental has everything that you will need. The kitchen had every gadget and appliances at your disposal. There was even papertowels, aluminum foil, bagges etc that were ok to use. If something was used up, then you would simply replace it. Sheets and towels were available. Washer and dryer in lower level, made it so easy to stay on top of clean clothes. To go home and have no laundry was great. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was a professional size grill right off the kitchen, that made meal time easy. The kids had a tremendous amount of things to do. Pool table, ping pong, there were tons of cd's to use, there were four tvs, Volley ball net, kayaks. Even the fishing was great! If you forget to bring some reading material, there were plenty of books to choose from. Several Kayaks, floats, and chairs were at the dock for your use. Kayaking at any time of the day was eventful. There was a portion of the property that had a beach. This is great for small children, so that they can simply walk into the water or play on the beach. The view was tremendous. It was nature all around you. It was extremely peaceful. At the end of the day, the hot tub was a delight. The photos of the house were perfect. The information listed and the discription of the house were perfect. The owner was very accessable and forth coming with expectations of keeping the place clean. He was extremely helpful in making suggestions, and welcomed questions. I would recommend this property to any one. We hope to visit this property again!

  This was the first time that my wife and I have rented from VRBO, or rented personal property at all over the internet. We were both blown away with how amazing this trip was! Richard was great and went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. We are actually thinking about making a trip up there again in the future and staying at the same house. The experience was that good! If you have any reservations about this property I can assure you that you will enjoy your stay here and you will not regret it!! Sean & Rachel

  Place was excellent!!! Very relaxing and beautiful. Our dogs loved the place and had a blast hiking with us. Richard was very helpful and friendly!! We will definitely visit again......The only downfall is we wish we had more time there. Thank you for a wonderful stay!! We would definitely recommend for others in the future.

  We were looking for a place to escape from reality for a while, and found that with this home. The house was great, and perfectly accommodated our group of 7, ranging in age from 2 - 87! Everything I had forgotten to pack they already had at the house! We got a lot of use and enjoyment from the ping pong and pool tables, hot tub, canoes/kayaks,and screened-in porch! We were also pleasantly surprised with the selection and prices at Tobey's market - we recommend the live lobsters! :) Thanks to Richard for timely responses and making sure we had everything we needed! We would definitely rent again!

  We were 6 adults from California. Everything was better than expected. Loved the screened-in porch; beds were comfortable; kitchen well stocked; really enjoyed the canoes and kayaks and the dock; hot tub, pool table and ping pong table were fun; and the owners were very friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful place.

  We loved this lakefront home! The views are breathtaking and the grounds are beautiful with an abundance of flowers and plants. The inside of the home is just as wonderful with quality comfy sofas, beautiful wide plank wood floors, large dining table and great master bedroom upstairs. The downstairs was fun for all with pool table / ping pong, darts, a bar and hot tub outside. The large floating dock with lounge chairs was enjoyed and we even used the fire pit a few nights despite the heat wave. Lots of seating outside (including a hammock), wonderful porch area, well kept grill and lobster pot available - we used 3 nights! Having use of the kayaks and canoes was a nice touch and the lake is very manageable for young children (slow descent). The long road to the house was fun and challenging .7 mile run the views from neighboring streets also made for an enjoyable run. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of towels and sheets. Great central location to visit all of Maine's favorite towns -Boothbay, Camden / Rockland, Bar Harbor / Cadillac Mtn but we had just as much fun relaxing by the lake. The owner was great to deal with, answered many emails quickly and made check in and out easy. Received deposit check back in a timely manner. Hope we can enjoy this wonderful home again and would highly recommend.

  We had 6 adults and one child coming from California, Connecticut, and Maine and the age range was 2 - 62. Everyone had a great time as there were so many things to do. The beach was safe for the two year old, and everyone enjoyed the water toys, pool table and hot tub. Having three bathrooms for three couples was also a big plus. The home was well equipped and there was nothing we were lacking. If this home is available next year and we can find a week where we can all get together again, we will return.

  We stayed here in June 2011, and were very impressed with the whole experience. The quality of the furnishings and the well-equipped kitchen were the best we have ever had at a rental house. The teenagers enjoyed the pool table and ping-pong, the adults enjoyed the hot tub and screened porch, and everyone enjoyed the water and all the included watercraft. The owner was very prompt in answering all my e-mails, and called us after we checked in to make sure everything was fine. We couldn't be happier with our vacation rental!
