Create your own family memories in this rustic lakefront home. The main level of this home features an open floor plan with high cathedral ceilings, a magnificent stone fireplace, natural wood plank flooring, kitchen and dining room. The great room has floor to ceiling windows letting sunshine and nature flow into the room. Both the great and dining rooms open onto a large elevated deck nestled up in the trees and overlooking the lake; a perfect place to commune with nature or to have a beverage with friends.
On the main floor there are two guest bedrooms, one with queen bed and one with two twin beds. The upper level is the master bedroom suite with king bed and private deck. The lower level is a large family room overlooking the lake. It has 3 built-in beds, TV, private deck, and its own bath (a perfect place for your junior members).
While having coffee on your deck in the morning, contemplate your day's activities—caution, you may just want to sit on the deck. Golfing, hiking, swimming, water skiing, tubing, fishing (with license, lake is stocked), horseback riding, whitewater rafting, or just sitting on the deck watching birds, chipmunks and the boats pass by are all wonderful activities. Enjoy cool summer grilling on the deck or try one of the fine local restaurants.
Lake Activities: Lake Toxaway, with 640 acres of clear blue water, rests high among the Blue Ridge Mountains between the Pisgah National Forest and the Nantahala National Forest. It is NC’s largest private lake, with 14 miles of shoreline. The lake is fed by numerous mountain streams and is always refreshing. We have a private dock, so you can rent from the Lake Toxaway Marina everything from a canoe to a 24’ pontoon boat on a daily or weekly basis, and tie it up at your own dock.
