Located on a highly desirable street in Tahoe Donner, our home offers all of the privacy one could ask yet is minutes away from amenities including golf, skiing, tennis, swimming, fitness center, equestrian and cross-country ski centers, hiking trails, fine dining, and more. Sitting at the apex of a 1.5 mile “Loop” directly across from the golf course, we enjoy minimal traffic and share our backyard with deer and wildlife in the summer.
The house has over 3,600 sq feet of living space, divided between two floors. Luxury and comfort surround you, it will be hard to pick your favorite place. Peeled log posts and railings inside and out lend a rustic yet elegant feel. The attention to detail throughout the house – from the solid Alder wainscoting, to the thoughtful use of accent lights - highlights the quality workmanship.
The upper floor defines what a great room is meant to be. There is a custom built-in entertainment center to satisfy both video and audio junkies, while the cozy sitting area in front of the granite fireplace is a great place to read a book or relax. A game table with pub seating is the perfect place for puzzles and more. The great room shares its hickory floors and soaring Alder-capped ceilings with the large, open kitchen. With its slab granite counters and stainless commercial-grade appliances, preparing dinners for two or entertaining a crowd is a delight. In addition to the kitchen bar which easily seats 7, there is plenty of room to gather around the dining room table. A wine refrigerator and walk-in pantry help ensure you have a place to keep your provisions. Enjoy the southern facing views of the surrounding forest through the soaring windows, or step out onto the oversized front deck where a gas BBQ and table with seating for six awaits you. The master bedroom suite has heated bathroom floors and a Jacuzzi tub, while an equally spacious second bedroom (king) shares access to a second large deck which overlooks the serenity of the forest. A large laundry room and full bathroom, each with custom travertine and slate complete the upstairs living area.
On the lower level, you will discover a family room and game area that will quickly become the kids’ favorite gathering place. There is a 65 inch DLP television in its own custom built-in entertainment center. With the surrounding speakers, games on the Playstation 3 or your favorite DVD movie (including Blue ray) will really come alive. There is also an iPod docking station in the downstairs media center, and a wet bar and refrigerator within easy reach of the family room. If you prefer, test your skills with a friendly game of foosball, or just watch for deer from the covered lower-level back patio. The second master bedroom (queen) also enjoys access to the lower patio. A bunk room (4 twin beds) and a full bathroom complete the downstairs living area. A ping pong table is set up in the third bay of our oversized three car garage.
Of course, there is wired Internet connection, as well as Wi-Fi throughout the house.
