My husband and I love to stay at Black Banks Cottage. It is clean, cozy, and close enough...but far enough away ~ allowing privacy, great bike rides, great food, and fun in the sun. We plan to make this a yearly trip celebrating happiness! It really does feel like our home away from home!

Today we have sat on the deck watching little green and brown lizards, listening to birds and taking in all the beauty of Black Banks. I wonder how it compares to the Garden of Eden? We could not have picked a more beautiful place to begin our journey in life. Thanks so much for the serenity of Black Banks Cottage.

Many places you see pictures of make the place appear better than they are Your pictures understate the beauty of the place both outside and in. Guests are able to remove themselves from the world to one that includes only themselves, and the one they love and memories that last a lifetime. I asked my wife what she would have changed and she said, "Ownership - to us!" We will celebrate our 30th anniversary next March and plan to return to make even more forever memories.

WOW. A complete 180 degrees. We were having a rough trip until we arrived at the Cottage. Kate, you were so helpful, we can't say enough. Thank you so much for sharing your guest cottage with us. This was exactly the private, cozy getaway we had imagined and the perfect place to pend our tenth wedding anniversary. Your attention to detail makes this cottage truly feel like an extension of your home. The pool is fantastic and we enjoyed many hours just floating around, reading and sopping a little wine.We did more relaxing than touring but one of our favorite memories will be of renting Vespas in Redfern Village and exploring the island. We really appreciated all your dining advice - we tried Tramici's, Coastal Kitchen, Barbara Jeans, Gnats Landing and of course, Halyards! Everywhere we ate was great and we would go again but by far the best was Halyards! Get the shrimp & grits here and don't go on your first night! Everything else will just pale. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Kate - Thank you for opening up your beautiful cottage to us! We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean, quaint and very comfortable. Sherri and I would love to come back another time. Coastal Georgia, and St. Simons Island is so full of amazing places to travel and the local history was plentiful. As "northerners" , we fully enjoyed exploring all your area has to offer. Your guide magazines helped us determine where to go and what to see. We highly recommend anyone to visit the area and stay at the cottage while doing so. The pool was clean and refreshing. We had a wonderful time on St Simons and staying in your enchanting cottage. We took advantage of the pool one evening before we retired and the stars were beautiful. Loved the contrast of the tourists and business of the Village and the peacefulness and quiet of your neighborhood. Some places we enjoyed: Mullet Bay in the Village for lunch, Frederica House for seafood, Christ Church and cemetery, maritime Coast Guard Museum, Lighthouse and walking the beach. Thank you

Everything was PERFECT at Black Banks. We especially loved the area out by the pool - sitting out there with a fire going was so nice.
