Located in the Northstar At Tahoe Resort, one of the top rated year round resorts in the United States. Located eight miles from Lake Tahoe and seven miles from the historic town of Truckee. Skiing, snow boarding, golf, tennis, hiking, mountain biking, recreation center, fitness center, game room, ice skating (roller skating in the summer), swimming and more all located within the Resort. The Northstar bus system picks you up at the house and brings you to and from the new Northstar Village, swim and tennis club and recreation center or golf course. It's approximately twenty minutes to Nevada State Line for those seeking gambling and top name entertainment.
The lower floor has a great room, one full bath and one 1/2 bath, living room, dining room and kitchen. The great room has a beautiful view of Martis Valley from the front and the open forest area out back. Kitchen is fully stocked with cooking equipment and has a nice view of the backyard. The upper floor has three bedrooms: master with queen bed and full bathroom attached, one bedroom with two single beds, one bedroom with a queen bed. Backyard area backs up to a fire/hiking trail. The backyard deck has a natural gas grill and smoker. Great house for entertaining. Two car garage with additional parking. Super house for year round use.
A swim and tennis club and recreation center, with full amenities, is adjacent to the Northstar Village. The facility is available to guests at $2.00 per person, per day of use (up to six guest a day) and comes complete with swimming pools, exercise room, weight room, tennis courts, pool table, ping pong table, air hockey and video games. Spa services are also available.
Walking distance is (about 1 1/2 miles) to the new Northstar Village with ice/roller skating, restaurants and shops.
Northstar ski area has 87 trails, beginner through advanced, accessed by 17 lifts. The mountain has five terrain parks and two superpipes. Other ski area amenities include ski and snowboard schools, cross-country ski and snowshoe center. Rental equipment and demo centers, licensed child care for children two or older. Northstar has excellent snow making equipment to help insure early season skiing and snowboarding. Snowplow service is provided for the driveway in the winter.

Our three bedroom, three and a half bath home at the beautiful Northstar Resort is close to historic and charming Truckee, where we enjoy the great restaurants and lovely shops. We (and you will) have access to a private swim and tennis club within the resort. There are six eighteen hole golf courses within five miles including the Northstar course just across the street. This summer, the resort will also offer mountain biking, scenic lift rides for sightseeing, an APEX bungee and ropes challenge, and hiking, fly-fishing and more.

My husband and I are from the Bay Area and love the "getaway" feeling we have sitting on our deck overlooking the forest, taking in the view of the golf course, Martis Valley and Castle Peak from the great room, hiking with the dogs on the trails or skiing with the kids in fresh powder. Although just a short drive from the City, our Northstar home makes you feel a million miles away as the stress of everyday life melts away. As an owner for over 15 years, we have watched Northstar retain its' sense of family, even as it has evolved into a world-class resort.

I can whole-heartedly recommend Laurie’s house in Northstar. It was a great location for our family reunion – very well equipped with lots of space for adults and children. Northstar deserves some recommendation too. It is well set up for a family ski trip, with excellent amenities, great ski school and an excellent bus service that means you never have to touch your car. The lifties and pisteurs did a *fantastic* job with snow-making this year; we were there in December with no natural snow and still half the runs were open, making it a good destination whether conditions are good or bad. Finally, Laurie herself made the whole rental process a breeze. We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed here while preparing for our daughter's wedding. The neighborhood is peaceful and the location excellent. The dining room was large enough to accommodate 15 family members comfortably. We love the great room with it's gas fireplace that quickly warmed the large room and added ambiance to the day-after-the-wedding gift opening. We were delighted that we were able to bring our dog. Everything was clean and well maintained. Laurie is super responsive and friendly. The only issue was that my 80 year old mother had problems climbing all the stairs in the house.

The house was great! We had so much fun and just loved staying there. We rode bikes, swam in the pool, went to the lake and my folks played golf. The games and movies came in handy during the rain. The kitchen was perfect for making dinner, and our kids enjoyed the loft. The dogs *loved* walking on the fire road, too. Thank you!!

We stayed at the home in late April. The door to door shuttle service is very convient. The home was very clean and fully equipped (even the small items in kitchen spices,cooking supplies,etc). Very very spacious. Easy to find your own corner of home and read. Loved the 3 fireplaces! We enjoyed the stay and will be back!

I would like to say that this home completely accommodated our needs. It ended up being myself and 4 teenage boys. I was very thankful for the "sectioning off" of the room where the boys deciding to make their camp. It gave them privacy, a bathroom and a solid door for which I escaped all their music. The boys absolutely love the layout of the house as well. Having a separate living room from the family room made all the difference. In addition to the ease of transportation for the boys to go skiing via Northstar Transport, the daily clearing of snow from the driveway(by the HOA) made my trips too and from the house very easy. The kitchen was very well stocked and roomy enough for me to make my meals. The back yard area was great for when the boys wanted to take a break form snowboarding. They played on the sleds behind the house. The HOA Rec room and exercise gym was wonderful and the private parking there also gave me free and easy access to the Village. The trip was made stress free by all of the amenities offered with this house. We plan on coming back in the summer to try the Mountain Biking next. Thank you Laurie for a wonderful and relaxing trip.

Our weeks stay was quiet and relaxing. The fall colors were out and the mountains were quiet and peaceful. We took walks each evening along the fire trail behind the house. The home is clean, the beds comfortable and the family room a nice gathering area to enjoy each other. Consider this home for your Northstar/Tahoe stay.

We loved your home. We were surprised by the larger than expected spaces -- especially the large separate family room which can be completely separate from the rest of the house. The kids liked playing in the loft and even enjoyed watching TV from a bird's-eye view. In fact, we never even used the large living room and dining room since the kitchen became the center point of most of our in-house time. We also enjoyed access to the fire-road trail immediately behind the house. We most definitely plan to return -- hopefully with guests since the house can clearly hold more than just one family. Thank you!

My family and I just spent a week at this Northstar cabin and will definitely be returning. The cabin is very well equipped (fully stocked pantry, bedding, towels) immaculate and absolutely beautiful. We were thrilled that it accomodated four adults, the kids, a toddler and four dogs with ease. The layout is perfect for large groups, as the early risers can relax in the kitchen or deck without disturbing anyone upstairs or in the great room. We walked the trails daily from right behind the cabin and really enjoyed the evening sunsets over the golf course. The pool/rec area is great as are the tennis courts. Lake Tahoe and Truckee are very near-by but there is so much to do at Northstar it is hard to leave! Laurie, the owner, was so gracious and easy going when we misplaced the cabin pool cards we can see why the cabin has such a great feeling. We will certainly recommend this cabin to friends and family. It is a fantastic value and so much fun.

What a great house this was for our long weekend with extended family. Having both a nice living room and a separate family room area was ideal - we weren't always on top of each other. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything I needed to prepare meals and snacks. Having a 2 car garage that actually holds 2 cars was a big plus. And finally, the shuttle service was an awesome amenity. Thank you Laurie - you were so on top of everything and super quick with the deposit refund. Hope to be back there next year!
