    This property was perfect for our cousin's family reunion. Large open great room / kitchen combination allowed everyone to be together in the same area but at the same time gather in small groups as well. Accommudations allowed all 25 of us to eat & fellowship at the same time and in same area. Large deck on same level as great room/kitchen combination was perfect as well. We did have 1 person on a walker and she was able to move about very easily with no problems. Ages in our group ranged from 25 to 70 years and a great time was had by all. The listing description and video is very accurate of this house and it was very clean and well maintained. We did have a pontoon and fishing boat with our group and the surrounding accomodations worked well for the use of both these boats. The walk from the house to the boat dock/swim platform was just a little challenging BUT unless one was in a wheelchair or on a walker, you can make it up and down....would not be able to sprint up but can still get from top to bottom...we took the one in our group on the walker to the nearby marina (less than a mile away) and she boarded the pontoon there without any issues....and enjoyed the pontoon boat rides with all the others. In summary....IT WAS GREAT!

    Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

    Me and my new husband chose this as our wedding venue. We had a small wedding with our closest freinds and family and this home was perfect! We had our wedding party stary the whole weekend with us at the home before we said "I DO" on Sunday. It was perfect! everyone had there own bed and plenty of space. There was tons to keep everyone busy and having a good time. There are several great fishing holes near the house, a nice size yeard, pier, games, foose ball and pool table. The master bed room was the perfect bridal suit. The views from the large windows and decks are beautiful. We didnt want to leave, not even to go on our honeymoon. It was very easy to get to being located near to big bridge. The owners were also very friendly and willing to work with us. I would love to rent from them again. I would suggest this home for family gatherings, friends getaway or a romantic getaway.

    The Manor was lovely. Perdect for our family group of 7 adults(including 2 60+ seniors) and 6 children aged 2-9 yrs. We had a few issues with the cleaning crew which we addressed with the owners and they will be addressed by him. The layout was great with 3 levels of bedrooms and the great room and loft TV area afforded ample space for the kids and for us to keep tabs on them. Our only qualification was the path down to the lake and dock. It is very steep and slippery. Fortunately, we discovered a grassy path off the left of the driveway that circles down to the dock and we had a golf cart to ferry everyone back and forth. Our daughter and son-in-law brought a pontoon boat which we tethered to the end of the dock and it gave us a shady spot to sit and a jump off into the lake. The children and adults had a great time swimming and feeding the fish. Lots of wildlife both in and out of the water. Would definitely consider using Magnolia Manor next year and would recommend it to others.

    The house was clean, and seemed well maintained. Photos accurately reflect the appearance of the house. Owner was very helpful. Great house for a large group. The only thing I would recommend is new pier furniture. The chairs were worn out and not safe to sit in.

    Magnolia Manor was great for our family get togther. Eight brothers and sisters, ages ranging from 60 - 77, slept under the same roof for the first time in over 59 years. This was a memorable experience and the lodging was more than adequate for our needs. The kitchen was well furnished with everything we needed for cooking and serving. Magnolia Manor was just as nice as the photos and videos indicate. I highly recommend this home, especially for family gatherings like ours. We hope to stay there again, hopefully in the summer so we can enjoy the beautiful lake.

    My friends and I rent this amazing "cabin" for my wedding weekend. There are so many beds that some of my bridesmaids used a different one each night! There are three floors, a deck and a patio, a dock, and a small fire pit so there is plenty of space for large groups. With 4 toilets, 2 tubs, and 2 showers, you never have to wait for a bathroom. The owners are very helpful and do not have ridiculously demanding cleaning request like some cabin owners have. The beds are amazing! Even the bunk beds are not too bad because the owners have put tempurpedic mattress pads on top. And by far the best futons I have ever seen! Most bedrooms have ample closet space as well. The kitchen is amazing and the refrigerator is huge. All in all, it is amazing cabin that I highly recommend.

    We rented Magnolia Manor for our Family Reunion/80th Birthday party for my Dad. The Manor looked just like the pictures on the web site. and the description was accurate. The kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans and everything we needed. there were 25 of us and we had plenty of towels and linens. Everyone in the Family loved the house, the manor worked great for us we were all able to stay together and had plenty of space to gather in. The owner was easy to work with. several people said they would love to come here again. Thanks for a very memorable Reunion loaded with love and laughter.

    I just rented this property for the weekend to use for my Wedding. It was PERFECT! We got married on the pier and had our reception at the house. We used the main floor for the cake tables..and the gameroom for our food tables. We set up tables on the bottom deck for eating and also used the bottom floor for dancing and hanging out. It worked out great. We got married friday night and rented pontoons from Duskin Point Marina(25 minutes by water from the house) for saturday to go out on the lake. 29 of us stayed here and everyone had somewhere to sleep. The place is beautiful and the owners were wonderful to deal with. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! thank yall so much for everything!

    This is our second year to stay at Magnolia Manor....this is a very, very, nice house situated on deep water and next to a quiet cove where fishing from the bank is real good. Just across the water from the Marina at Ryan Creek...hope to come back next year. Audi Calven Family; Oxford, Ms

    Our extended family just had a delightful 3 day stay at this wonderful lake house. There were 20 of us who were able to sleep comfortably and enjoy this spacious home and its surroundings. Smith Lake is beautiful and the Magnolia Manor was a great place to enjoy it. We highly recommend it!
