We were so comfortable here!

My family spent memorial Day weekend at this beautiful home. We were there to celebrate my first born's wedding which was at Lake George! . This house was perfect for that! The wrap around porch was a great place to hangout and chat with all the relatives that stopped by to say hello! I have some great pictures of the groomsmen relaxing there before the limo picked them up for the big event!! The house is so close to town that we parked our car and walked everywhere. The property was very clean and well maintained. I would definatey return to this exact spot and recommend it to anyone that needed a lovely place to stay in Lake George.Thank you for the great memories!!

Excellent location, comfy feel

We stayed here for a week in Aug, 2010 with our two teenage boys. Plenty of comfortable beds for a good night's sleep for all. We spent most mornings and late evenings sitting on the porch, just talking (yes - teenage boys that never talk at home just settled in for a chat thanks to the abundance of chairs and couches on the porch, and the relaxed feel of the place). When we weren't out, we spent evenings playing cards in the dining room. Two full bathrooms were very useful, especially after spending the day at the beach. You won't find a better location anywhere in Lake George - just a couple of blocks to walk into town, beaches, restaurants, churches etc. We usually ended each evening walking into town for a dessert or drink at one of the many nearby restaurants overlooking the water. For Thursday fireworks, we walked 1/2 block towards the lake, set out our chairs on the sidewalk and got the show without the crowds. The only time we moved the car is when we wanted to drive to Lake Luzerne, Bolton's Landing, and Saratoga race course (about 30 minutes away - great for a rainy day). Compared to other housing rental options, this one was a great value. This is a 100 year old home and it was neat just experiencing its uniqueness and history. Our boys loved it. The owners were unbelievably helpful when we were planning our trip and making suggestions they thought the boys would like. If you're interested in a good value, fabulous location, and old fashioned, small town home feel, this is a good choice when visiting Lake George.

Wonderful Family Holiday

My husband & I spent a wonderful week at this delightful house with our four children (6- 13 years) in July 2010. The house was ideal for us, immaculately kept with plenty of space and close to the village. My husband and I were very impressed with the decor and ambience of the house. We all enjoyed the local amenities, lake George, adventure centre, hiking on prospect mountain, kyaking & fishing on Lake Lucerne. As the weather was great we dined morning & evening on the fabulous wrap around porch. I have no hesitation in recommending this property for a fabulous vacation and plan to return in the near future.

Relaxing and Comfortable

We loved this comfortable and clean vacation home. My favorite spot was having breakfast on the sunny wrap around porch. Great floor plan and plenty of room for everyone. The older charm was inviting and relaxing, felt like home. The location was also great, close enough to everything yet far enough away to enjoy some quiet time.

Home away from home!

In June my husband, grandchildren and I had a delightful week away at this lovely Victorian rental home. It was immaculate and spacious for all of us to enjoy. You can do as little or as much as you want in this area with outlets, golf, beach, amusement park, and Saratoga Springs nearby. I would recommend this rental to anyone who appreciates a home away from home with comfortable beds, clean rooms and a cheerful atmosphere. We are anxious to return again next year for another pleasant stay.

sadly rented

Well my family and i rented this OLD Victorian house which has no a/c and in the middle of summer with 2 small children and an average of 84 degrees it was not comfortable at all. The kitchen floors were very filthy and there were no baking pans to cook with. The house is old and the doors don't close without a good slam. The owner offers items which were not available for use for example a computor. They also would like you to clean the house and water plants for them. The beds were very uncomfortable with only 2 televisions in the house. The house also does not have a phone for emergency use or local use. The area is close to town which is good but also the streets get packed with cars and this comes with alot of extra noise during the night, especially with all the windows open. I would not recommend this house to anyone with small children way to much noise in and outside of the house.

Wonderful getaway house!

My family has stayed in this lovely home several times in the past, and we always look forward to returning. It has all of the amenities one would expect including a fully-equipped kitchen, beautiful front and back porches, comfy sleeping areas, and cozy nooks for reading and relaxing. This house is a perfect home base for all of the experiences Lake George has to offer! The neighborhood is quiet and shady and so convenient to everything in the village. We love walking to the bakery, grocery store, and beach. Opportunities for hiking, kayaking, swimming, and fishing abound; there are historical battlefields nearby to explore; and outstanding shopping and a super amusement park are just minutes away. We can't wait to come back again!

Perfect Rental House for your Family Vacation!!

Guest: Anne/Terry Danbury (Danbury, CT)
Date of Stay: 07/11/09 Review Submitted: 06/08/10

This rental house is spacious, clean, charming and simply beautiful. It was perfect for our family to spread out and have fun. We have been to and returned to this rental house several times. We chose to hang out on the front porch & enjoy the beautiful garden and took advantage of all there is to do locally as well. It's convenient to everything -- beach, shopping, restaurants, and the Village of Lake George itself. You can walk everywhere. You are right down the street from the Thursday night Fireworks on the Lake. While staying here, we visited the Six Flags amusement park, the many Outlet stores and the Sagamore Resort for Golf, the Spa & afternoon tea. We highly recommend this rental for a fun-filled family vacation!
