Great location! Only 45 minutes from Birmingham, under 1 hour from Huntsville, 90 minutes from Tuscaloosa and under 2 hours from Nashville.
Cullman’s Cozy Cabin is convenient to everything! From I 65, the cabin is located off exit 304 which is the Cullman/Good Hope exit. After exiting the interstate, continue on old highway 69 for about six miles. Along the way, you will pass 3 gas stations, Dollar General, Johnny’s barbeque and the turnoff to Smith Lake Park. After taking a left at the fire station, the cabin is only another 2-3 miles.
The rustic style, cedar cabin has twelve hundred square feet of living space on the main level and another twelve hundred square feet in the basement. The open floor plan consists of a living room, dining room, kitchen and gas fireplace. There are two new leather sofas in the living room with one that folds out into a queen size bed for additional guests or children. The dining room table seats six and there are two bar stools under the kitchen island next to the table. Next to the dining room table, is a sliding glass door leading out on the deck where you will find a gas grill for grilling and a picnic table for kids.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the essentials such as utensils, dishes, glasses and cookware. In addition, many basic necessities such as condiments and other items are provided which are needed for cooking and preparing meals.
From the kitchen and living area down the middle of the house is a hallway and on the left is a door going downstairs to the basement. The basement serves as a rec room with 2 sofas, a stereo, and a television, with sliding glass doors to views of the lake. Also there is table tennis, an air hockey game, and a card table and chairs for playing the many board and card games which are provided for all ages. While the kids can enjoy the many fun activities that this room provides, you can be upstairs preparing a tasty meal or lounging in the living area or one of the bedrooms watching one of the four satellite televisions that the cabin provides.
Back up the stairs and on the left is a laundry room which has a new washer and dryer for your use. Down the hallway are three bedrooms and two baths. All bedrooms have luxurious high thread count sheets, feather pillows, as well as alternative down pillows for the allergy prone. You are sure to get a comfortable night’s sleep at the Cozy Cabin! The first bedroom on the right is furnished with a queen bed, chest of drawers, night stand, a closet and a satellite television. The second bedroom on the right has a double bed, night stand and a closet. Next to this bedroom, at the end of the hallway, is a guest bath which is equipped with a new shower/tub combination. In the large master bedroom is a king size bed, night stand, armoir, chest of drawers, satellite television, walk in closet and a private bathroom with a shower.
Cullman’s Cozy Cabin rental is a peaceful hideaway on a quiet paved road with deep water year round. It is surrounded by many trees with a walkway of steps down to the water and newly built boat dock. The one slip dock has lounge chairs for relaxing, a spacious swimming pier with an inflatable canoe, floats, and life jackets located in the storage room on the dock.

Why the Owner Chose Lewis Smith Lake
Convenient to Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville and Nashville, Smith Lake has 500 miles of shoreline and is one of the cleanest lakes in the country. Since I work in Birmingham, I wanted a quick drive to a rustic cabin on the lake that I could call my own.

Here I am with my niece, Lula. I have been in health care sales for 11 years. I enjoy big projects, such as renovating houses. After purchasing the cabin last year, I built a new dock with one boat slip and large swimming pier for friends to enjoy. The land has been partially cleared so that a view of the lake can be seen from inside the cabin. More updates/renovations will be coming soon!
