This cozy mountain home is located in historic Stagestop which is centrally located to all activities in Park County. The cozy but roomy 3 bedroom and 2 bath home is located on 2 acres overlooking the snow-capped mountain ranges to the North and borders Pike National Forest on the East side. The home has a spacious living area with a wood-burning stove open to the dining area and kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms on one side of the home with a large bathroom which has a tub and a shower. One bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other has 2 twin beds. The master bedroom is privately located on the other end of the home with a Queen-size bed and a private bath. The large deck across the front of the house offers magnificent views of the mountains and surrounding wilderness area (Lost Creek Wilderness). Comfy chairs are provided to relax and enjoy the views. There is a large fire-pit outside where you can snuggle up with a campfire and toast marshmallows while enjoying the mountain and wildlife views. Herds of elk regularly gather in the fields East of the home. A watchful guest may even catch a glimpse of a mama bear and her cub. Guest Day Passes are available to Tarrayall Fishing Club for private fishing access. There is a small fee of $7.50 per day.
The home is in the heart of all outdoor activities in the Rocky Mountains. You will be 45 minutes from world-class skiing in Breckenridge and Keystone and 45 minutes from Buena Vista with the best snowmobiling trails in Colorado. If snowshoeing to a ghost town sounds like fun, you will be in the right place. Nearby Boreas Pass and Alma offer mining ghost towns to hike or snowshoe to. Buena Vista is the location of the famous ghost town of St. Elmo. Whatever your outdoor hobby may be, you will be close. The best fishing in Colorado includes the nearby Jefferson Lake, Tarrayall Reservoir, Lake Antero, Lake George, and Eleven-Mile Reservoir. All offer ice-fishing in the winter as well. As for shopping you can choose from the antique stores in nearby Como, Fairplay, and Buena Vista or the outlet malls in Silverthorne.

- There are hundreds of 4-wheel drive roads in the area with many mines and ghost towns to explore. History abounds in this area. Many of the old railroad tracks can be followed. One example is Boreas Pass which is minutes away. White water rafting is limitless in Buena Vista. There are 5 different lakes and 2 rivers that are nearby for fishing. If you love hiking, Lost Creek Wilderness area is across the road and Lake Jefferson is 7 miles away. You will be centrally located to almost any outdoor activity you can think of from gold panning to ATV trails.
