****WE HAVE just added a 40 inch HDTV with HDMI capability
so that you can run your video games.
This is NOT your typical lake rental! Only half mile off a major state highway, this 3000 square feet, clean house is located in a very private, serene country setting; it is situated on a broad point and features an incredible sandy beach and view (one can see Little Mountain 17 miles away).

With an unbelievable beachside lawn, you will ACTUALLY feel you are at a park! The house sleeps up to 12 (there is room for more) and is completely furnished, including dishes, pots & pans, two grills, etc. (You must, however, bring your own sheets and pillowcases.)
LAKE MONTICELLO is South Carolina's cleanest major lake (7000 acres) and is considered the best cat-fishing lake in the state. The broad point where this house is located (Geese Haven) features the most spectacular view and beach on Lake Monticello, with a gradually deepening lakefront that is suitable for small children.

The lake bottom here is sandy and firm, and the depth increases gradually as you wade out from the shore. NO WEEDS OR MUCK!! If you have a sailboat this is a great place to sail. Being on the East side of the lake, with a 17 mile unobstructed SW view, there is almost always a breeze. **NOTE** no waterskiing is allowed on the lake.

We stayed there for 2 days in Aug. and it was so peaceful and serene. Love the lake!! The house was comfortable and spacious. Would definately return.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We stayed at Lake Monticello last summer for a week, parents, two married children with spouses and one child. There was lots of room and privacy for everyone. Fishing, boating and cooking out. Owner is very personable and helpful. Would recommend for good old-fashioned family gathering. REW in SC
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
