Dreams really do come true in Blue Hawaii. This grand Oceanfront, 'Beach House' will surely make your vacation dreams come true in beautiful Hana, Maui.
Situated in Hamoa Village a few miles south of Hana, Maui, our Oceanfront Vacation Home overlooks the rugged shoreline and is just a stroll away from one of Maui's most spectacular beaches -- Hamoa Beach. Cited as perhaps the most beautiful beach in the Pacific, you'll find yourself embraced by its warmth and beauty as the cares of your world melt away with each passing day.
This spacious, two-story home (2400 sq ft) located on just over an acre of prime oceanfront property, will very comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests. Koa cabinets, eucalyptus flooring & tropical furnishings add to the warmth of this authentic Hawaiian vacation home.
Downstairs is the Master-Bedroom with King bed and Master Bath. The main floor also includes a large Living Room with Floor-To-Ceiling Windows to take in the Incomparable Ocean and Sky Views. The large fully-equipped kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare meals which can be served in the dining room (seating for 8), or on the expansive ocean-side Deck with Outdoor Dining Table and Lounge Chairs.
Upstairs are two large guest bedrooms (one with a single King-size bed, the other with 2 King-size beds) plus a full bath and small office alcove. Each bedroom has a Private, Ocean-Facing deck. There is also an additional sleeping area (with futon couch) located just outside the office alcove. The balance between private and shared space makes the home very suitable for several couples, a group of friends, or a large family.
Hana has long-been a restful retreat; a sacred place. Even the Kings and Queens of old came to Hana to rest & rejuvinate.
Other nearby attractions include Haleakala National Park - Kipahulu (aka: Seven pools), just a 20 minute drive. Enjoy hiking to the 400' magnificent Waimoku Falls and swimming in the many fresh water pools. Visit Waianapanapa State park where you can walk for miles along the coastline, swim at the Black Sand Beach or swim in the legendary spring fed pond and caves. Hike through Kaeleku Caverns or visit exquisite Red Sands Beach. Dine at Hana Ranch Restaurant or Travassa Hana Maui's Kau'iki Dining Room. Experience Honua Spa located at Travassa Hana Maui or enjoy a relaxing in-home massage by one of Hana's many massage therapists. If you're lucky, you may experience 1 of Hana's many cultural events such as the Annual Taro Festival or Aloha Week.

After a gorgeous drive up Hana Highway, I was amazed by the beauty and the location of the Hamoa Beach House. The driveway is fenced by lava rock and the lush gardens welcomed us to this stunning oceanfront home. Upon entering the house, we were welcomed by an ocean view, floor to ceiling windows and authentic Hawaiian koa wood paneling. They do call it Heavenly Hana for a reason.
Our group of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) had our choice of large, private bedrooms and were quickly drawn to the great living and dining area where we were able to eat our meals (inside or out!) and enjoy the ocean during every moment.
I am bearish about cleanliness and I was particularly impressed with the immaculate upkeep of this large home. Being directly next to the beach, one would expect a few grains of sand on the glossy wood floors. There was no sand to be found.
If you’re not aware that Hamoa Beach is the most beautiful beach in the world, you should be. The beach is secluded; it’s a perfect expanse of soft sand and incredible Blue Hawaiian waves. This beach is just a 3 minute walk from the house. We didn’t even need to cross the road!
Throughout our stay, we enjoyed the great kitchen, hammock, hot tub and super comfortable beds. Take that Goldilocks! We had plenty of room, were close to Hana and hiked in the gorgeous Haleakala National Park. We just can’t ‘bear’ to leave. I’ll take wonderful memories with me into hibernation this winter.
Thank you Hamoa Beach House!

This oceanfront home right next to Hamoa beach is your Hana dream vacation! We loved everything about it including the views, location, hot tub, comforts, outdoor shower and more. Lots of Fun for the kids too! You won't regret it. Just needs a gas grill to complete the picture. Aloha!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: It is true...you just can't beat the location, size, layout and proximity to Hamoa Beach! Gas grills don't do well in the salty environment and quickly rust, so we'll have to live with the charcoal grill for now! The hot tub is challenging enough:)

One of my favorite vacations, the home was perfect for our large family vacation. Plenty of room and the the location can't be beat. We were concerned because this was our first vaction to Maui and most people thought we were nuts staying in an isolated place like Hana. It was perfect, falling aleep to the sound of the ocean and waking up to the sunsrise over the ocean every morning. Lazing in the hammock or spa. just a short walk to Hamoa Beach. We are planning to come back same time next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We recently stayed in this house for a week and absolutely loved it! We actually got married on Hamoa beach and the proximity to the beach is unbeatable. I would recommend and stay here again. The house was actually much more spacious in person and the hot tub was a great perk.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I first rented the Hamoa Beach House in 1995 where we stayed after our wedding at Lehoula Beach. We have been coming back ever since, every couple of years, with friends. Over the years, the house and grounds have gotten better and better. I am so impressed with the attention to cleanliness and detail. Having lived in Hana back in the 70s and 80's I know how hard that is. And the kitchen just keeps improving- it had all the appliances, dishes, glassware, pans, etc. we needed to prepare a full Thanksgiving feast. The best part for me is going to sleep to the sound of the waves - we call it the "Hana Womb Effect." It is the perfect place to get away with good friends for a truly relaxing vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We rented this house with friends and found it to be perfect. Lots of seating, towels, kitchen space (with almost every utensil we could desire), washer/dryer, and room in the hot tub! Lovely setting, close to town (but not too close) with easy access to nice beaches, private swimming holes, and beautiful views. Big lawns, lots of privacy - it was exactly what we wanted.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This home is very well appointed and will meet all your needs. However, the best part is the location. Just past the lawn is the ocean (note: not a beach). There are swings where you can just sit and watch the waves. Then hop in the hot tub and watch the ocean or view the night sky from there. Hamoa beach is just a short walk from the house. We felt so rejuvenated after our short stay in this home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This place was great. Photos do not do it justice. The location could not have been better and exceeded expectations. 2 miles from Hana and several hundred yards from the beautiful Hamoa beach and a few tenths of a mile to Koki beach in the other direction. House was large and the hot tub and hammock in the backyard steps from ocean were great. My family (3 kids ages 8-15) had a great 4 days in Hana. We slept each night with the windows open so we could hear the ocean. This place was great and I recommend it to anyone considering Hana area. Susan Pu was very easy to deal with and made the reservation and confirmation process easy. If I had to make changes, I would offer only the following comments: (1) Beach chairs and bodyboards (We brought our own boards) available for guests would be nice; (2) Kitchen could use a bit of an update but was more than functional; (3) Wifi did not work but I viewed that as a positive to be honest!! Mahalo!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

Staying at the Hamoa Beach house gives you a feeling of experiencing the real Maui. The house is right on the water, in a neighborhood, a short walk to the extraordinary Hamoa Beach. We loved the hot tub (and the view from the hot tub), reading on the hammock stretched between two coconut trees (and the view from the hammock), and eating our BBQ dinner on the deck ( and the, well, you know...). We also enjoyed the people of the area, the access to the beauty of that side of the island in the mornings and afternoons when no one else but locals were around, and Hawaiian feel of the house itself. Big rooms, big windows, beautiful floors, a new, comfortable bed in the master...Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My family and I vacationed at the Hamoa Beach house from May 31 until June 3 of 2011. We stayed for 3 nights and were absolutely sad when we left. The home and setting were breathtaking. The rooms and beds were spacious comfortable and clean. They also had outstanding views. Although the home could possibly accomodate twelve comfortably there were only five of us.We were truly spoiled with the amount of privacy and room we enjoyed.Being that there arent alot of restaurants in the area and the fact that I love to cook we made use of the grills and a well stocked kitchen. The setting was absolute paradise! The coconut trees and other landscaping , the hammock, and my personal favorite... the tree swings placed at the edge of the ocean made for a lawn perfect for relaxing, fun, and photography. When I booked the stay in Hana I was concerned that there might not be enough commercialism and action for my 26 year old daughter and my adventurous 18 year old nephew. Not to worry...my daughter and sister enjoyed the relaxing enviroment and the beach located within a quick walk. While my husband, nephew and I (who all love adventure) needed more time to do all the wonderful things found to do within the area. We did the Oheo Gulch pools, swam in the caves at the park, went to the Red Sand Beach. In short, we are travelers and love to experience different destinations . Even if we enjoy a particular place we would seldom return there. I truly hope that it isnt long before we are able to return to the Hamoa Beach House and Hana.Weve traveled to Italy, Switzerland, Germany, the carribean, Oahu Kauii(which I also love) and much of the US but this was handsdown the best family vacation weve ever had.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading this review! Our guest has captured not only the essence of the home but more so the awe-inspiring natural beauty of the area that is so moving. Hana truly is a special place and there is no better place to experience "Hana" than Hamoa Beach House! Thank you for staying with us ~ On behalf of the Morris ohana

We loved Hamoa Beach House! We stayed here in June with two families and we all agreed that Hana and Hamoa Beach House was the favorite part of the vacation. The ocean views from the property are incredible. The hammock and hot tub (also with ocean views were great.) The best part is that you have your own slice of heaven all to yourself. All you hear is the sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks. Beautiful Hamoa Beach (the beach next door) is perfect for kids and boogie boarding. Sunrises were beautiful from the house or at Hamoa Beach. Koki Beach is less than a half a mile away also. The house is spacious and has everything you need including panoramic ocean views from both up and downstairs. We did not want to leave and I am already dreaming of coming back to Hana and Hamoa Beach House...Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Mahalo for taking the time to review our home. We are happy to be able to share this magical place with fellow travelers. Each time I drive to Hamoa Beach House I am still struck by the beauty of Alau Island across Koki Beach. After 30+ years in Hana, it never gets old. The location of Hamoa Beach House itself is incredible, add to that a spacious, comfortable oceanfront home and you've got a recipe for a great vacation! Recent interior improvements such as refinishing floors, replacing beds, new master bedroom furniture and rugs, adds even more to the comfort and feel of the place. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Aloha, On behalf of the Morris ohana

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: John and Martha live in Tennessee after moving around with IBM for years. Our first trip to Hana was in 1982 on our honeymoon and to see Jay who was living and working in Hana at the time. Jay and Mary are residents of New York. Both couples return to Hana frequently. Jay and John are brothers and their other brother Jeff also ''bought in' on the idea of a place in Hana. As you can see....it's a family affair!!
Why the Owner Chose Hana:
We rented the house 1998 when Monroe Kilohana Morris had his first baby luau in Hana. Mary selected it!!
Jay and Mary are his parents and they were married in Hana in 1989. They have had 2 other baby luaus since!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The Morris family has been coming and staying in Hana for the last 30 years. Hana has been a part of our lives for a long time and we are fortunate to have developed many Hawaiian friendships. The area, the ocean and the people have made Hana our favorite place in the world.
Our home on Haneoo Road is in an exceptional location. A few steps to the left and you are on Hamoa Beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere. To the right, one encounters Koki Beach for great swimming and boarding. We go to one almost every day we are in Hana!
We whale watch in front of the house , crab and fish off the rocks and see turtles in the surf and enjoy snorkeling
off the rocks on calm days. We love the sunrises and the magnificent starry sky at night. It is incredible.
Haneoo Rd is just off Hana Highway providing a relaxing, local feel .
