"The Snuggery" is our luxury not-so-mobile-home overlooking Pfeiffer Beach Big Sur. It is located up a private, gated, and paved road, approx. 640 ft. above sea level. It is situated on the west side of scenic highway 1, above the world famous Pfeiffer Beach, in a quiet part of Big Sur only accessible to residents and guests. From the Snuggery meadow you can enjoy stunning whitewater views. It’s a great place to take photos. Winter sunsets are particularly mind blowing. The sunrises are pretty fabulous too. The beach is just a mile down the road. It is an easy walk for those who enjoy a gentle stroll. Okay, so it is a gentle stroll down and a huff and puff back up.
For the adventurous hiker, there are numerous trails close to the property. One end of the Molera trail system is within walking distance. At low tide, especially during minus-tides, you can hike and explore the wildlife and tide pools unique to the pacific coast. There are some great surf spots close by. If you’d like to know more about these let me know.
The Snuggery is tastefully and simply furnished, and is equipped with everything you would need for a perfect stress-free vacation. There are two bedrooms – one with a queen size bed, and a second with bunk beds. There is also a fold-out double bed in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped and has a full size refrigerator and a small freezer. There is air-conditioning and heat. If you need to bring work with you, there is high-speed internet service.
The cost per night for The Snuggery is $200 for up to 2 people. If you would like additional guests, we can talk about it and pricing. This is not for you if you want to party and make noise. We live on site. There is no TV. Guests are restricted to one car only. This is a place for people who respect people, nature, and who want to bask in the magnificence of simply being. At the express requirement of our guard-cats, Gilbert and Sullivan, we are unable to welcome dogs. We have had some delightful experiences with children – the sort of children who delight in digging in the sand, playing on swings and who play imaginitively. Their parents have been really cool too!

The Unique Benefits of this Mobile Home
One of the aspects I enjoy the most about being here on this mountain in Big Sur, is the solitude. I love the night sky - diamond studded velvet. I love how one's perception of silence changes. You need to experience this to understand it. There are many flocks of birds that come and go, and there are hosts of Quail. There is a lot to feel here every day. I love how my neighbors define humanity, and how very much we laugh.
