SeaLife was built in 2004 located 8 miles outside of Machias on a peninsula overlooking Chandlers Bay & Englishmen's Bay and reflects the owners philosophy and style. Enter into a foyer with heated stone floors and wood ceiling and beams.

Hand hewn beams, with 100 yr old mixed widths of pine floors & recycled barn boards on ceiling, makes this spectacular home feel as if it is a warm familiar friend you have come home to. SeaLife is meant to be a journey in itself, in any season with radiant heat, natural air conditioning w/south westerly breezes, huge deep natural stone fireplace, ocean, sky, sunsets, sunlit rooms with soaring windows with antiques and cozy comfy furniture.
Places inside and out to curl up with a good book or have guiltless days of sleeping in, making a fire and cooking in the professional gourmet kitchen, complete with two convection ovens and a warming tray! Kitchen is large enough to accommodate a couple chefs at a time! Watch your favorite cooking shows on 52" HD TV while you cook!!
Wine cooler to chill your favorite beverages for sunsets on the deck while the outside fireplace takes away the chill of the night air. Eat dinner outside at table for 6 w/9 ft umbrella. Weber Gas Grill and Weber Charcoal Grill. Deck furniture for many guests.
Watch the lobster boats as they go in and out to the the harbor and pull up their traps. Have fresh lobster delivered to you by one of the boats! If you are energetic, pick fresh mussels at low tide!
For the more active of guests, kayaking is available. Launch right from the beach! Hike around the peninsula and relish the quiet of the birds and wildlife or play nine or 18 holes of golf just 2-3 miles away. University of Machias has full work out amenities complete with indoor swimming pool and basketball court! Guests day passes available.
Hike the Bold Coast Trails 20 minutes away, or take a tour of Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt's 22 room "Cottage" and spectacular gardens on Campobello Island just 40 minutes away near the Town of Lubec, where the first sunlight to hit the US Eastern seaboard is at the famous West Quoddy Lighthouse where the whales often surface! Take a short 1 hr drive south to visit famous Bar Harbor and play miniature golf or shop at the many shops along the ocean and dine on a Lobstah Roll!!
