Casa Radicondoli is a delicious 2 bedroom independent villa sitting on the side of the hill beneath the homonymous medieval village, a jewel set in the timeless valleys between the rivers Cecina and Elsa. The country cottage, surrounded by a garden with swimming pool, can accommodate between 4 and 5 persons.
Both from the garden and from the living area of the house, it is possible to enjoy a beautiful panorama over the surrounding countryside. The kitchen is furnished with every necessary comfort (gas hob, electric oven, washing machine, kitchenware etc.). Underneath the house is situated the swimming pool, surrounded by a sun terrace with beach umbrellas, deck chairs and sunbeds as well as a barbecue. On the right hand side of the house, right next to the main entrance, there is the veranda for outside eating, fitted out with table and chairs. From the living room there is direct access onto the terrace, leading through a few stairs down into the garden and the pool area.
Radicondoli is a medieval hamlet near Siena. Radicondoli is situated on top of a particular very beautiful wide and open hill which you can realize already from the very distance. There is lots of free space around this hill and from everywhere of the village you look around the sight gives you a sense of freedom of mind and endless space. When you look upon the village in the evening hours from the eastern side of it, the open sky above it is covered in the most amazing sunset colors and the chains of the hills below are painted in all sorts of romantic pastel colors- a dream! Like of so many of these Tuscan places, the story of Radicondoli also goes back many years . This reflects in its stone built medieval walls and they could tell stories of several decades of years. The southern part of town is constructed on several terraces and in between you find romantic little roads and little gardens everywhere. The nature is wild and soft with olives, vineyards, cyprus and pines, fruit trees and vegetable gardens.
A perfect location to relax and visit art cities like Florence, San Gimignano, Piena, Volterra, the leaning tower of Pisa. Tuscany is the land of Art and Culture, home to Leonardo, Galileo, and Michelangelo, whose homes, museums and masterpieces you'll be able to admire on a day trip from Podere Calza. Il Palio di Siena, a thrilling traditional horserace, takes place in the centre of Siena every year in July and August. Tuscany is also famous for its red wines. On a day trip you can visit Chianti, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Scansano and why not Bolgheri. For those of you who love unspoilt nature, Maremma is but an hour away. The gorgeous Mediterranean coast is only 60 km away, with Castiglione della Pescaia, Punta Ala, Follonica, La Carbonaia. Perugia in Umbria is only 110 kms away.
