Cactus Flower Cottage is a charming 1-bedroom cottage nestled in Fish Bay, one of St. John's quietest neighborhood. Built amoungst 200 year old ruins still visable on property. Enjoy fresh papaya and other fruit from trees throughout the gardens. A 10-minute ride from Cruz Bay on paved roads. The cottage includes a full kitchen, covered deck, outside private native stone shower, established landscaping, air-conditioning in the bedroom, cable TV, high-speed internet, solar hot water, water view of Fish Bay. Guests at the cottage have full use of the pool, which is adjacent to the main house. North Shore Beach access is a 5-10 minute drive. South Shore Beaches, historic ruin sites and National Park Trails are walking distance. A car is not necessary as taxis come to the house, however, a car is advisable. Rentals include Arrival Date and Departure Date pick up and drop off at Cruz Bay Ferry Dock.

Cactus Flower Cottage - a Charming Quiet Retreat
Why the Owner Chose Fish Bay
I found a unique piece of property with historical ruins and pictured building my home. I first designed and built Cactus Flower to live in. The cottage has all custom woodworking throughout. I now live in the main house that I designed and built encompassing the ruins on another piece of the property.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
There is a wonderful serenity sitting on the Cactus Flower deck early in the morning looking at Fish Bay and the lush greenery and listening to the sound of the birds getting ready for another day.
Hike from the cottage to the Sieban Estate Ruins and the only Baobab tree on St. John. Hiking trail connect to the Reef Bay Trail.

I am licensed contractor on St. John and specialize in woodworking. Windsurfing and sailing are my primary hobbies. I have two daughters who attend school stateside. I have lived on St. John since 1974 when I moved here with my parents. Two siblings and my parents still live on St. John.
