  My husband and I had a wonderful weeks stay. Owner Rudy arranged transport from and back to the airport so we arrived without worries. Rudy's aparment is so charming and comfortable. Besides an excellent 1st impression I kept discovering new pieces of art. I felt as though I had a museum all to myself. I often get up during the night to read or use the internet...the floorplan allowed me to do that without disturbing my husband's sleep. We found so many destinations close by that the only time we rode in a vehicle was to and from the airport. However most people don't walk as far as we do...we were in training to hike the Inca Trail to Matchu Picchu. I needed to see a doctor while there and Rudy directed me so that I saw an excellent English speaking doctor. We highly recommend this charming, comfortable apartment.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  We stayed for two weeks in February 2013 in this well maintained place in the heart of the Miraflores district of Lima. The apartment is tastefully appointed and would be ideal for entertaining guests. Decorated in impeccable taste, it exudes an atmosphere of relaxed well being. It is close to a major artery with buses and taxis and two supermarkets within easy walking distance. Yet when you close the front gate, you feel like having reached an island of peace and quiet, leaving the street noises behind. The owner of the apartment lives in France but called twice from Paris just to make sure we didn't lack anything. His team in Lima is a pleasure to deal with, from his personal representative to the chauffeur who picked us up and delivered us back to the airport in the middle of the night to the gardener who also cleans the apartment. We recommend this apartment to anybody who is looking for a home away from home.

  We had a wonderful 2-week stay at the apartment. The owner is lovely and his staff in Lima makes it all easy. The apartment is centrally located, safe, very quiet but only a half block from a main road (cabs, buses, etc). Also very close to grocery stores, a natural food store/cafe, and a chocolate shop - who could ask for more? It was easy to come and go and we had everything we needed to relax in the beautiful garden and cook at home when we wanted to.

  My 9 year old son and I stayed here and I have to say that the pictures and video do not do it justice. The apartment exceeded our expectations! The bottom unit we stayed in was beautiful. I was enamored with the thick walls and real wood everywhere. The design was fantastic as well. And I love the floorplan - it's functional and feels right. It was a pleasure dealing with Rudy, Roberto and German; we look forward to our return visit!

  Of the dozen+ apartments we have rented on three continents, this is one of the most comfortable and attractive. It was exactly as shown on the website. What was different was the level of service provided by its France-based landlord. Not only was the check-in, check-out procedure smooth and comfortable, but he arranged for a driver to shuttle us from and to the airport, avoiding the chaos of Lima taxis. (He even phoned from France to make sure everything had gone well.) Several of Lima's best restaurants are near the apartment and both a French market and a well-stocked supermarket are nearby. Located on a side street near a major avenue, the apartment offers quiet in a noisy city.

  My husband and I have rented from VRBO at least 30 times and this is truly one of the nicest places we've stayed. The apartment has a wonderful "homey" feel. The kitchen is fully equipped. It was great having a washing machine since we were at the end of a month-long trip in South America. The garden is lovely. We were happy to find a French Deli just 2 blocks away with delicious bread, cheese, wine and meats. Rudy and Roberto were the greatest. If you're traveling to Lima, you can't miss staying at this apartment.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

  Our family stayed in this apartment for over a week although our initial plan was only for 2 days. It is difficult not to like i! Unlike many places in Miraflores that are very "city-like" this apartment has its own little patio and garden that bring nature, calm and peace. The place is tastefully decorated with quality furniture and artwork. It has all the comfort you want... and more. It is one of few rental homes that feels bigger and looks better in real life than on the photos. The location is excellent within walking distance of restaurants, parks, a great grocery store and the waterfront (the latter being a little further away, about 15 minutes by foot). Rudy is a great host and was very helpful in making our stay flawless, giving us advice for things to do in Lima and Peru in general. The local staff was very friendly and helpful as well. I can think of only one area of improvement: accepting Paypal payments would make things easier for travelers on-the-go who book at the last minute (like us).

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

  It's hard to find a vacation rental that you absolutely adore and love for 10 days straight but my husband and I lucked out. Apartment - The apartment was exactly as advertised. Not only is it spacious, functional, and safe, it's stylishly decorated with both Peruvian and modern art. Rudy has good taste and it shows through in this apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed to fix our breakfast. It was spotlessly clean and, as promised in our agreement, the cleaner came in the middle of our stay to tidy everything up. Location of Apartment - Very good location in Lima's Miraflores district. Right off a main boulevard filled with restaurants, shops, banks, etc. An upscale grocery store was about a brisk five-minute walk. Kennedy Park and El Malecon about ten minutes away. In the other direction is the district of San Ysidro. At the corner is a 24 hour eatery with pretty good food. The best part for us is the apartment's location right next to Madre Natura, a natural foods/health store and care. We went there multiple times to buy bread and soymilk and to eat light lunches with natural juices (with power supplements!). A colorful parrot is sometimes in the tree in Madre Natura's courtyard; if so, you'll be greeted with a "hello" or "hola." At the other end of the block is a gourmet chocolate shop. Customer Service - Outstanding. Rudy corresponded with us through e-mail several times before our stay and promptly answered any questions my husband had. As another reviewer has noted, Rudy has some good folks helping him with the apartment while he's away so it was no problem at all that he wasn't physically there. The driver he set us up with, Caesar, was on time for the drives from/to the airport and was very pleasant to talk to. Roberto, his property manager, is a grandfatherly type figure who greeted us warmly at the apartment, offered to drive us to a supermarket despite our late arrival, and came back the next morning so that we wouldn't have to go deal with a bank to pay for the apartment at such a late hour. He drove us to a money exchange place and then to an electronics mall when we asked about an adapter. The cleaner, German, is very pleasant as well. All three genuinely cared about making our stay enjoyable. Rudy called the apartment the morning after we arrived to make sure everything was good and sent a follow up e-mail afterward. The apartment's definitely a place that will pleasantly remember and would recommend to all.

  We had a wonderful time staying at Rudy's place. It is very convenient to all the shops within walking distance. We like to walk so this is not a problem for us. There's an organic shop (Mother Nature) with a restaurant in the back located near Rudy's place and then a chocolatier on the other end. It is near a main road, so restaurants and shops are abound. A large semi-high end supermarket called Wong is 15 mins walk away. This apartment is just the right size for a couple and maybe a couple with a small child. Although Rudy's apartment above could accommodate more. We loved that we have our own private entrance. It is a safe neighborhood with lots of charms. We enjoyed the set up of the apartment with its own garden, dining room, living room, kitchen, laundery, bedroom and 1.5 bathroom. It has a modern retro mod style as seen in pix. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Lima. Thanks adding to our wonderful experience, Rudy!

  We travel to Peru several times a year and were so pleased when we found Rudy's apartment! It has everything we could need and more! It is in a fabulous location which allows us to get what we need within walking distance and it is a safe quiet neighborhood. The decor is great and Rudy and his help in Peru are amazing! We did not want for anything! I only hope that is is available for our future stays!

  Great ground floor extremely spacious and stylish one bedroom central to everything. What I liked most about this apartment, as compared with the six others I have stayed in throughout Lima, is that it was the most quiet. Because it never rains in Lima, the windows are thin and uninsulated. As a result, the bustle of the city invades from dawn 'til way past dusk. If you are a light sleeper or just dig having a little quietitude in your vacation rental this place is for you. Beyond that, well, the separate living room and dining rooms are very roomy, the kitchen is large and well outfitted, the two door entry system is very secure, something that matters when you don't have a doorman, as do all the large apartment buildings. More? Solid Internet connection (Not that easy to find in Lima) and TONS of closet space. Seriously. You could bring a month's worth of clothes and have room to spare. Even more? The location is on a quiet side street off a large avenue just a few blocks from the heart of Miraflores. There is a health food store at one end of the block and a hand made chocolateria at the other end. In a word: Perfect.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

  I stayed at this wonderful property for four days and nights on a recent trip to LIma. I'd never been to Lima before and was concerned about safety, location and level of comfort. This apartment was outstanding in all aspects. Una maravilla. It is beautifully and tastefully appointed, with the best appliances, bedding, shower and bathroom, kitchen, furniture and art work that I have seen in any vrbo property. The arrangements were handled smoothly and efficiently. I never had to wait a minute for keys, deposit, or help. The owner was very attentive to all details, including making sure that I had all questions answered before arriving. I was able to walk to the oceanfront and enjoy the neighborhood. Outstanding restaurants abound in this area (Las Brujas, Huaca Pucllana, and others). One of the largest supermarkets is a few blocks away, making it fun to explore the fruits and vegetables in a safe setting. I am planning on returning to Lima next year, and will stay here without a doubt. There are two other apartments in the same home by the same vrbo owner, so if I come with family or friends, we would definitely stay here. The location is tops, and so are the flats.

  The apartment is very well located and delightfully decorated, to the point that it feels like home and is very relaxing. But above and beyond, the helpfulness of the owner and his local rep make staying there a wonderful experience. One can truly enjoy Lima like a local and make the most of a stay with their tips, advices, and overall dedication to ensure the enjoyment of their guests in the city (not just in the property). A wonderful experience.

  We spent 2 months in this lovely apartment and we certainly recommend it to everybody looking for a quiet located safe place fulfil with all comfort you need to make you feel "home", very closeby supermarkts, restaurants, all you need you can find walking distance !   It was a real pleasure for my wife and I to stay for five weeks in a nice comfortable and well designed apartment. We loved the security and enclosed garden. The main bedroom is spacious with ample closet space plus a comfortable bathroom. We also had secured wireless computer conenction, nice living area and well designed and equiped kitchen. Fresh baked bread factory, restaurants, supermarket, etc are within two blocks. All in all don't pass this up if you are looking for something special in Lima.

  We just got back from Lima, Peru few days ago. We love this apartment. It provided a home away from home. It is clean, warm, cozy, and close to some great restaurants and shopping. It is also in a safe and quite neighborhood. Roberto and German were very friendly and helpful. Rudy also provided additional assistance and great advice to make our stay comfortable. We really enjoyed our time in Lima. Thanks, Rudy.
