NEW home for rent for the 2009 season!! There aren't many homes with this quality on the rental market. Total-Lee-Fun has it all. You can be in the house or in the breezy back yard and feel like you're in the mountains. Go down to the very spacious double deck boat/swim dock and water and you know you're at the lake. During the day you can swim ( kids will spend hours and energy jumping from the top deck diving board), boat, fish or relax in the sun. During the evening you can grill, relax in several relaxing spots (screened, covered, unscreened it has them all), watch satellite TV, watch DVD's, play games at the game table, have a family tournament at the foosball table, have great conversation or sing around a fire pit or just lay in the yard and look at the stars. The house is a three story home based on a North Carolina mountainside house plan. Exposed beams, vaulted ceilings, and many windows out to the lake are all part of what makes this house unique.

The main level has two masters: one with a queen and the second features 2 twin beds.
The upstairs has two bedrooms and a loft/sitting area that overlooks the den. This floor is perfect for all of the kids. The first bedroom has two single beds and one queen bed. The second bedroom has a bunk with a single on top and double on bottom.
The downstairs has one bedroom, a game room/second living room and one full bath. The bedroom has 2 twin beds and a futon.
Other Amenities:
The large dining room has seating for up to 8. An outdoor covered porch provides a private area to curl up with a good book.
The dock features 1 slip for your boat, an upper deck with plenty of chairs and a swim dock for the kids to hang out on. The diving board will provide hours of entertainment.
The water is over 50' deep and has a rock wall ensuring that the water will be the crystal clear water you are used to seeing on Smith Lake.
The view across the water is beautiful and there are no docks close so privacy is plenty.

The Real Estate Agent (not owner) in charge of this and other rentals on Smith Lake, did not communicate very well, after we paid. I must have asked 6 times for directions from the TN/AL border, and never got them. The owner complained about the check-out condition of the house. That's what the very high cleaning fee is for: cleaning before the owner arrives! We moved some furniture, forgot a trash bag, left some food in the fridge (was there when we arrived) and did not put the tuperware back where the owner wanted it. So 2 weeks after we checked-out, the agent hit my CC with a charge that doubled our cleaning fee. Watch-out !! The owners took the telephones and the cell signal is very, very weak. What if we had needed to call 911? There are only enough utensils for 6 people to eat at the same time. You will have to share bath towels too. Nails popping up on the deck, screen door won't close. Warped 2 x 6s on the upper dock are a trip hazard and will gash toes, so bring bandaids. Stairs from the upper dock to the lower dock are strange, they may be non-standard heights, we had several people loose their balance. Use the hand-rail. Only outside lights are flood lights on the house, no lights on the dock and only low light solar lanterns on the way down the slippery, sloping steps to the gangway. The smooth sandstone steps to the gangway are slippery when wet, designed to be non-standard rise and run, and designed to slope with no hand rail. The 20 foot high gangway leading to the dock is coming loose from it's anchor on the bank and is being held up with nylon straps around two 3" pine trees. Gangway anchor has dropped 2 feet, so the last step is a doosey. Acording to the guest book, the house has actually been a rental since 2003, not 2009 as stated in the listing.
