This is our our largest rental.Within walking distance to Crabtree Falls. This is the premier rental home at the falls. Surrounded by national forest. Sits on wonderful and pristine Tye River, swimming holes, pools drops, waterfalls galore. This has to be some of the finest scenery nature has to offer.Bring your camera and your fly rod,native trout are on location .Also within a short drive to Wintergreen Ski resort.Visit the many wineries nearby or take a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoy the Vistas. If you get bored and don't feel like cooking visit us at our acclaimed restaurant,historic OSCEOLA MILL(15 mins)(featured Restaurant,B&B National Geographic Travel Mag July 09)Web search for our restaurant for more information on our availability,facilities,dining and reviews.Just a few mins away friends of ours operate a wonderful horseback riding service and we can assist with reservations.

We spent four days at the cabin and truly didn't want to leave! The home is beautiful - extremely clean, well-equipped, and the setting is gorgeous. We could literally walk out the back door a few yards to the river, cross the foot bridge and explore to our heart's content. Nearby Crabtree Falls was a great morning hike - make sure you arrive early in order to get a parking spot and bring $3 to pay for parking. We also enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Osceola Mill - do NOT miss an opportunity to dine at the mill! There is a country store about three miles from the cabin and has your basic necessities, plus they serve breakfast and lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. One caveat is that the area does not have cell phone reception or internet easily accessible, so plan ahead. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts - we will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Kevin & Kim Daly are the owners of nearby Osceolamill Restaurant & B & B. Osceola is well known for fine dining and receives excellent critical reviews. We felt the Crabtree falls cabin would be a great addition to nearby Osceola and that we could also enjoy the property on rare days off. We purchased Osceola with the idea that an old mill in this scenic area would compliment our restaurant vision;fine dining in the country. The cabin makes it even better.( see Osceola site for more info)
