Casa Preé was built on the remains of a rural building and has been completely renovated and modernized. It has a terrific roof terrace with a postcard perfect view of Lake Como, the Bellagio peninsula and the snow covered mountains of the Alps.

Situated in Rezzonico, a stunning lake side village near Menaggio ( 8km), the house borders the " Antica Regina" a road constructed by the Romans. This was once the only trade route connecting the villages on the lake with the Alps. It is now a charming ( narrow) mostly footpath through forest and pastures and past waterfalls and ancient remains of watch towers, ideal for an evening stroll with your dog!.

Casa Preé is situated about 400 m above lake shore and overlooks the village and castle. Stone steps lead up to the small breakfast garden and the entrance. The front door is set between the kitchen/dining area and the sitting room , sat. TV and open, gas log effect, fire place.

On the ground floor are two double bedrooms,( one double and twinbedded) one en suite bathroom with bath and shower and a shower room with extra WC. All rooms have French windows to let in the sun and catch the view. The gallery/sleeping area for two above the first floor leads to a roof terrace, ideal for sunbathing or outdoor eating.

This is a charmingly furnished, comfortable house, fitted out with all you need for a perfect holiday.

The climate on lake Como is temperate , our summers are wonderful with a pleasant breeze. Springtime starts in april and autum ends in october.

Rezzonico is one of the most charming villages on lake como , a castle on the waterside dominates the village. We have secluded beaches which you can only reach by boat or foot ( rocky-gravel)
Rezzonico has a small supermarket, some restaurants and a pizzeria, for extensive shopping you depend on Menaggio , at 8 km. This is a lively village with a boulevard for a leisurely stroll, boat stop for visiting Bellagio and Varenna across the lake , it has also the oldest golf course of Italy. ( 1906)

Day trips to Milan (60 km) ,for shopping, or Lugano ( Switzerland ) 30 km , Como city - 30 km or to the wonderful skiresort St. Moritz ( 9o km ) which is also a " must " in summer.
Even Venice or Verona and Bergamo are good for a day trip.

Lake Como is also a place for youngsters: sailing, surfing-schools all around. The mountains around the lake have lots of tracks and panoramic views can also be reached by car.

One week is too short!

Lots to do an see : boats crisscrossing the lake , with boat stops at famous villa's and their gardens: Balbianello in Lenno, Melzi in bellagio, Carlotta in Tremezzo.

Lake Como was already known to the romans and historical buildings like churches, watchtowers
