Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2000
Hi, I'm Bonnie and this is my beautiful Victorian home. It was built in 1896 and has had only 3 owners. It was my home and now my children are gone and I want to share it with you. I have been enthralled with old homes and buildings all my life and also the antiques in them. The house was painstakingly redone between 2000-2006 to its original charm but also with the conveniences of today. Relax on the large circular porch with a lemonade or lounge on the patio with a very woodsy feel. I hope you will enjoy the house as much as I have.
Why the Owner Chose Rochester
The house was purchased to use as our home. Zumbrota is a quaint small town located 23 miles north of Rochester on Hwy 52. It is easy to access from Minneapolis/St Paul- only 70 miles south also on Hwy 52. The Mississippi River and Lake Pepin are only a half hour drive. Zumbrota, itself is a small community with a charming Main St. boasting a upscale women's boutique, Crossings (an art gallery), a movie theater, a bakery, hiking and biking trails, the Zumbro River and the only wooden covered bridge in Minnesota. Historic Red Wing, home of Red Wing Pottery and Red Wing shoes along the Mississippi River is only 23 miles away. This small town has many shops, antique stores, and great restaurants.
