We loved this house! It was (almost) perfect! I would advise families with small children to bring lots of DVD's, as this is basic cable only, and there is very little in the way of children's programming. But, we didn't go to Deep Creek to watch TV, so it was only an issue when it rained. Also, the sun coming through the family windows in the evening is very bright!! The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept on. I can not remember when I slept so well on vacation. Even though this is a townhouse, it was very quiet and the people we met were wonderful. We are considering returning this winter.

I really shouldn't write this review, because then our great find will get out to the public... but what a great stay we had at this unit! Was a perfect weekend getaway for families with young kids. Close to Wisp, grocery store, Ledo's... and not too far to hike at Swallow Falls. While some may turn their nose up at the interior (it's a tiny bit outdated), we found it be just fine for our stay. But two things REALLY stood out to us: the place is IMMACULATE... not a spec of dirt ANYWHERE. The oven, stove and showers looked brand new... that's how clean they were! We were also nicely surprised by the variety of items available in the kitchen. We did not lack anything when we were cooking. We love Deep Creek... this was our first time there in the super cold temps and SNOW. Made for a great time on the mountain coaster and ice skating. Thanks for a great vacation spot... we'll be back!

Had a wonderful vacation at Sunplace. The townhouse was spacious, well kept, and well appointed. The owners were very attentive to our needs and very accessible. The location was great, very convenient to shops, restaurants, boat rentals, and most importantly, the Lake! We enjoyed fabulous sunsets over The Wisp ski resort sitting on the community deck. Very peaceful and relaxing. The Pine Lodge Steakhouse was phenomenal (GREAT STEAKS!!!!!!! & ambiance too!) and Santa Fe Grill was awesome too (Great Margaritas!) Treat yourself to Mother Nature and check out Swallow Falls State Park, it's beautiful. Great walking trails and take swimsuits, it's a blast swimming out to and under the Falls (at 63' the tallest in MD). For coaster lovers the Mountain Coaster at the Wisp is really cool. It's like a steel coaster coming down a mountain. This in the first time in 25 years visiting Deep Creek but definitely not the last. It's close to home (Pittsburgh-2 hrs) and a whole lot of FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here we go Steelers!!!!!!!
