Our family had a wonderful week at this beautiful, peaceful location. The first morning we were treated to the stunning beauty of a deer (9-point buck) eating from the tree just outside the window. This home has excellent views and is very roomy. We barely even used the extra family room with fireplace, additional dining room, and plenty of room to sit and talk. Very convenient location to get to all surrounding activities as we spent time at almost all of them. We enjoyed Echo Canyon white water rafting, Royal Gorge, the Cheyene Mountain Zoo, walking through the trails at Garden of the Gods (just walk off back porch), Golf at The Broadmoor and near the Air Force Academy, Cog Railway to Pike's Peak, Seven Falls, Flying W Ranch, bowling, shopping, and local restaurants. Grocery store nearby made it very easy to have home cooked meals as well. I loved the multi-level back porch and sitting area for birds and wildlife at dawn with morning coffee and cool breezes while reading at dusk. Master Bedroom was wonderful with huge bed and very spacious with natural light and bamboo sliding shades on each wall of room. This was our first time to use Vacation Rentals By Owner, but will certainly not be the last. I hope our next experience with VRBO can live up to such a wonderful first visit. Thank you again for such a wonderful home base for our best family vacation yet!Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
