This home is very comfortable for people who enjoy the beach. There is a shower in the backyard for showering off after swimming, surfing, diving, or just playing in the sand. There are boogie-boards and sand toys to use. It is steps from the stairway to the beach at the parking lot of Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UCSD.
A walk down the beach to restaurants; shops; surf boards, diving equipment, bike and kayak rentals; playgrounds and Kellogg Park. The Birch Aquarium at Scripps is 1/2 mile away. La Jolla Village is two miles away and has everything the big city has, but in a quaint setting by the sea. Balboa Park, with the San Diego Zoo and many different museums, is just a 15 minute drive. Sea World to the south, about 10 miles and Legoland to the north, about 18 miles are easy to get to. The beautiful Torrey Pines Golf Course is 3.5 miles away. The UTC Shopping Mall has everything and is a 10 minute drive. The La Jolla Playhouse has three theaters and performs live plays all year long, it is a 5 minute drive.
The home has a two-car garage and parking for three more cars in the driveway.

This property was our home and we had to move into a condominium because my husband has experienced some physical limitations forcing our move to keep him safe. We have enjoyed
this house along with our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Unique Benefits at this Single Family Residence
Our home is just steps away from the stairway to La Jolla Shores beach. It is one of the best surfing, body-surfing, boogie-boarding, diving, tide-pooling, beach-walking, sand-playing beaches in the world. A short walk down the beach, there are playgrounds with picnicking on the beach or grass. We have enjoyed many magnificent sunsets sitting in the living room of this home.
1/2 mile away and a wonderful place to visit, fun and educational for children and adults alike.
Great restaurants (Barbarella Restaurant serves wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner and there are many choices for lunch and dinner.) Quaint shops and rental businesses have bikes, surfboards, kayak
Everything the big city has to offer but in a quaint setting by the sea.
There are lots of interesting stores and restaurants in La Jolla Village Square. Also, two movie complexes, one of each side of Nobel Drive.
8 minutes away, 3 1/2 miles. The LPGA Samsung Tournament will be held on the South Course September 16-20, 2009. The US Open was at Torrey Pines June 9-16, 2008.

I am a grandmother, actually a great-grandmother. I tried renting our home through a realtor and my son and I decided to try it by ourselves when the listing expired. We are both enjoying the experience very much, tourists are very nice people.
