This beautiful Artist loft is located in Chelsea Midtown on 27th Street between 6th & 7th Ave. The Loft is approximately 3,000 square feet. It is the whole 12th floor. Residents enter the building using their own key and visitors gain access through an intercom system. Only the residents have access to the 12th floor because of the locked elevator,
It can comfortably sleep 4 to 5 people. There are two large bright skylights in the loft and we have 12 ft high ceilings.
You enter into a private hall from the locked elevator, then thru a locked front door to the loft into a very spacious living room & dining room, which is very bright because of the 6 large windows. There are three sofas in the living room with a very large glass coffee table. In the dining room there is a large wooden dinning table with 6 chairs. there is a great view of the Empire State Building from all the windows.
The loft is filled with beautiful art, antiques, plants and lovely furniture. It is fully furnished in an elegant way, and yet it's a warm and comfortable modern space.
There is an open plan kitchen right off the living room, two steps up. It is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences. Many oak-front cabinets for the kitchenware, dishes and glasses. A great round oak table that sits 4 for dining in the kitchen.
The bedroom, has a queen-size mattress bed. The large skylight fills the room with light which spills over into the lovely bathroom. A large walk in closet. There will be enough closet & drawer space provided.
The large master bathroom has white tiled walls and a bathtub. It has been used in many photography shoots and commercials as has the whole loft. Good quality towels & linens are provided and a hairdryer.
The guest 2nd bathroom is a complete bathroom with a shower.
For your convenience, there is a laundry room with full size washer and dryer in the loft, an ironing board with iron. There are large ceiling fans in every room, 3 in the living, dining and kitchen area. 1 in the master bedroom, 3 in the studio.
There is Cable/ TV in the studio, bedroom and kitchen with DVD, CD & VCR players in the studio also. There is Broadband Internet service with Wi-Fi too. Just bring your laptop with you.
The other part of the loft is a large 800 sq ft studio space which is also used as a second bedroom, there is a desk, a brand new Murphy bed with a new queen size mattress, a queen size sofa bed & a double sofa bed. There is a skylight in the studio with a large oak window wall looking into a private office space. We have a beautiful oak wood library & a lovely sitting area with a TV, DVD, CD & Video player. There are 5 very large windows.
Chelsea Midtown has become the new, coolest neighborhood in Manhattan, yet remains comfortable without too much noise and too many tourists. Great shopping, markets, restaurants, coffee houses, cinemas, off-Broadway theater, Chelsea Piers Sports & Recreation complex, and a diverse nightlife. We are walking distance to Greenwich Village, Lower Fifth Avenue, Penn Station, and the Hudson River, Empire State Building. The Loft has very easy access to subways & buses with the 1, N, R, F subways all within a 5 minute walk.

My husband is an artist (painter) and I manage his art business. We have lived and worked here for over 30 years. We created this space, it was a factory before we moved in. It is a very special loft. It always filled with light and just has a lovely feeling in it. All our guests have always been very pleased and say that the photos don't do justice to it. I agree. There is absolutely everything you would need in the apartment and it is certainly a beautiful home. From a lovely Master en suite to a fully equipped utility (yes you have a washing machine & tumble dryer) there really is everything that you need right down to a corkscew to open your favorite wine and an ice bucket to keep the champagne chilled. Instantly hosts Shani and Albert make you feel at home. It was our first visit to New York and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay, so comfortable and welcoming after a hard day's sightseeing.

The view is stunning. And at twelve floor above the street, it's quiet, the perfect mix of feeling right in the middle of the city without the crush of it all the time. Subway is close, as is good coffee and Whole Foods supermarket. We liked the neighborhood restaurants for flavor and convenience. The owners are notably friendly, courteous, and helpful. You will appreciate their welcome. This is a loft made of light and space. Our party of five adults felt at home.

Lovely, spacious loft which gave myself, my husband and daughter our own space. The location is excellent, as everyone else says, it is in the middle of everything, with most attractions a lovely walk or short subway ride away. Around the loft are a number of delis and a wonderful supermarket for good fresh food. The loft is well equipped with everything you should need - a real home from home. Shani and Albert are a wonderful, friendly couple and are, as mentioned by others, only a phone call away should they be needed. We hope to be back! :)

We had a most enjoyable stay in the loft. Shani and Albert were lovely hosts - they made us feel so welcome, and greeted us like family! They gave us some great pointers, which helped with the enormity of exploring NYC! The loft enjoys a great central location, and the view of the Empire State building is amazing - especially at night! We would recommend this apartment to families, as there's plenty of space! We had a fantastic week in the city that never sleeps, and Shani and Albert are a lovely couple, who will do anything - to make sure you do !

We had a terrific stay in Shani and Albert's loft. It was very well located in Midtown and we felt like we got a real taste of NYC lifestyle. On the tourist side we were able to walk pretty much anywhere - Broadway/Times Square, Chelsea Galleries, 5th Ave shopping, MOMA etc. Buses and subway, food marts etc are in either direction down 27th. The apartment was very comfortable and relaxing to return to after the day or evenings activities. Everything we needed was there. It is very spacious so we weren't having to jump over each other when we were there.. Shani and Albert are delightful owners and we would love to return one day. We would recommend it to families with teenagers and pairs of couples traveling together.

Thank you Shani and Albert so much! The space was amazing and you two are so special! Our time there was so relaxing and quiet!!! It was like bringing a winter beach vacation to the city! Plenty of space and quiet to read and relax and just steps away from so many great times! And a perfect location! We easily traveled, well, all over the city - to see a performance in Brooklyn, uptown for museum visits, and had lots of great experiences in the neighborhood! I've never felt more comfortable in Manhattan and Manhattan has never felt more manageable. We will be back!!!

The apartment is in a wonderful area surrounded with restaurants , all forms of transport close by and a view of the empire state building you will never forget. The apartment is amazing with so much space. It's so luxurious we could not believe we were so lucky to stay here in New York. I can only echo the views of everyone below by saying that the appartment was excellent, good location, really convenient, spacious, comfortable, light and quiet. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers and had plenty of space and facilities. We could walk to many locations - Central Park, Rockefeller, Grand Central, 5th Ave shops etc. as well as convenient subway stops at 23 and 28th streets to get to the downtown and waterfront. Recommened eats are the Malibu for breakfast (23 & 7th), Cuba (Soho) and 5 Napkin Burgers (Hells Kitchen). It was a pleasure to meet Shani and Albert who couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. All in all a great holiday. Thanks.

My family of six adults spent a wonderful week in this loft apartment. Everything about it was perfect for us – convenient location, lots and lots of space, wonderful hosts, big windows with lots of light, and a view of the Empire State Building. The pictures may look too good to be true, but that is not the case – they very accurately reflect what you get. Shani was very responsive to all of my emails and questions and made it easy to book the loft. We all have very fond memories of our stay and hope to return again. I have enthusiastically recommended the loft to several friends.
