Our first trip to Hawaii to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and we are overjoyed to have chosen this lovely unit. During our 10 day stay, as we drove all over Maui, we failed to come across another accommodation that offered the value that we enjoyed at the Hula Hale. Although the bedroom does face the street, any night time noises are sufficiently blocked out by the air conditioning unit in the room. The bed is remarkably comfortable, the shower is great, linen closet stocked with big fluffy towels...on & on. The view from the lanai is breathtaking of course, complimented by what seemed to be a constantly perfect tropical breeze, and we were very happy to take all of our meals with this scene in front of us. A reviewer complained that the sliding glass door couldn't be locked...was he concerned about an intruder scaling the back of the building to leap over the railing? We were delighted to leave the glass door open for the bulk of our stay to enjoy the blissful sound of the waves at all times. The furniture is very comfortable and all necessities are thoughtfully provided....all that's missing are a pair of binoculars to gain a better view of the marine life. We will bring these on our next visit :) We had no problem accessing free wifi throughout our stay, and the proximity to the grocery store/starbucks/shopping/restaurants made the location ideal. We packed our days with surfing, snorkelling, and exploring the island, and the Hula Hale made such a refreshing place to relax and unwind. The grounds are immaculately kept by the very efficient manager, and we can't wait to return to paradise. We miss it already!

Worst Ever

Our recent experience and observations here were as follows: • The only bedroom was located just feet from one of the busiest streets in Lahaina. The windows that don’t close tightly were no help at all and allowed light, traffic, and all noise to pour in non-stop throughout the night and day. • We found lots of bugs on the kitchen and bathroom counters. • There was no lock on the rear sliding glass door that made security impossible. • There was no Wi-Fi connection for the apartment contrary to what was advertised. • There was no place to eat (a table) in the apartment. Has to eat outside. With no beach close by and poor parking accommodations, this made this apartment one of the worst places we’ve ever stayed.

"Hula Hale" was just what the owner described and the view IS that amazing. This condo was sparkling as was the beautiful heated pool. A quick walk to the Old Lahaina Luau, Aloha Mixed Plate and Safeway for fresh fish you can cook up at the pool side grill and enjoy by tiki torch light. We look forward to coming back!

Lahina Rhoads is a great location! I enjoyed walking to the Harbor, to the grocery store, to the mall, Starbucks, to Aloha Mixed Plate and many other places. I enjoyed the swimming pool which is located on the ocean. The condo Unit 203 was comfortable and nicely decorated. All the conveniences anyone would need! I highly recommend this facility to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay in your condo. We had amazing sunsets, wonderful sunrises and great views of Lanai, we even saw some whale out past the sailboats. The unit was very clean and well maintained. The property manager was always working on the grounds very noticeable. The bedroom was comfortable, the shower was great. The winds was great, I don't think we closed the door except at bedtime during the whole week. I can't wait until we get to come back. Thanks Vida for welcoming us into your home.

Great Property

This was a wonderful place to stay. Near great restaurants and the amenities at the condo were wonderful. Not crowded...........no fighting for the chairs by the pool. Very conveniently located. The views were spectacular and we would go back again. Very clean and yes........I would recommend it to a relative or friend.

Awesome Stay

We had a wonderful time at this amazing condo. The pictures do not do it justice. Every morning the turtles were swimming and the waves crashing. We found ourselves lost on the lanai just sitting and relaxing for hours. It is very convenient to walk to beaches or into old Lahaina Town. This is a well cared for condo complex and extremely clean. The air conditioning was greatly appreciated.

This was our second stay at Vida's Hula Hale. Condo is clean and well kept, close to Lahaina and Cannery Mall. Vida's condo has everything needed to be comfortable, a feeling of home. Beautiful sunset views, and the islands of Lanai and Molekai from the lanai. Turtles frolicking and feeding daily at the seawall. Plenty of places to go locally and plenty to do. Great beaches within a short drive, 10 to 15 minutes. Heated pool and grounds well kept by Jim, resident manager. Vida is extremely helpful and very easy to work with. A boat trip to Molokini and Turtle Town, to snorkel, is well worth it. Saw plenty of different fish and came face to face with a large green turtle. While there Moose McGilicudy's is great for their daily specials and their happy hour Mai Tai's. Mahalo Vida, sorry we didn't get to see you this trip.

This was our first trip to Maui, but hopefully not our last! The condo was perfect, excellent location, breathtaking views, and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this beautiful condo to my family and friends. We visited so many wonderful beaches many within a short drive. The best dinner we had was at Momma's Fish House in Paia well worth the ride. We can't wait to return and see the whales since they had left by the time we arrived in June!!!

Beautiful Sunset Views

We've been to all the Hawaiian Islands--stayed in many nice condos, but this one is rated right at the top for cleanliness,comfort ,view and friendly people. We loved the closeness to Lahaina--well within walking distance to all the wonderful shops and restaurants! Saw whales breaching, turtles feeding right from our lanai. Weather was perfect every day !! Great place to stay and will come back to here again. Mahalo

Wow, what a wonderful place for our introduction to Maui. Great location, beautiful views and sunsets. Whales and turtles visible from lanai. Close to town and the oceanside pool is fantastic. The unit is well maintained, clean, and comfortable. Nice assortment of dishes and cooking equipment. Lovely walk-in shower. Beach mats, chairs and boogie boards in bedroom closet. Comfy bed and pull out couch. Countless beaches close-by to enjoy and explore. Construction repairs to seawall were completed during our stay and the road work seemed to be wrapping up as well. We would go back in a heartbeat. Mahalo Vida for sharing this beautiful space and making our first experience with VRBO such a positive one.

The location of this unit is great. The property and the unit were spotlessly clean and well maintained. I would recommend this property to a friend and would definitely like to stay here again. Easy walk to Lahaina-15minutes. The views from the lanai are spectacular. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking. I would give the unit an excellent rating but because of external factors--there was road construction on Front St. that started very early in the morning and there were repairs being made on the yard area next to the pool which is temporary but was still noisy right outside the unit--that's the reason for the good rating. Beautiful accomodations with a breathtaking view

I recently stayed at the Hula Hale for my second time. I thought it was wonderful last year but this year with the all the improvements made to the grounds it is even more beautiful which I thought impossible. The condo is immaculant providing everything I needed for a comfortable home away from home feeling. The hospitality of the owner is superior. The location is convienent to all the beaches, shops and restaurants and most of all the view is absolutely incredible. We watched whales, turtles and breathtakinly beautifuly sunsets everynight. Oh yeah, the Oceanfront pool is dynamite! I highly recommend the Hula Hale any time of year.

Although we come to Maui every year, this was our first stay at Lahaina Roads. What a wonderful location and a wonderful condo. Very comfortable and homey. You can walk to restaurants, grocery store, drug store, luau, town, and much more. The manager and other guests were extremely friendly. We plan on a return visit to Hula Hale. Mahalo Nui Loa!

This condo is fabulous! Simple, beautiful, and clean, and the owner is a delight to work with. I have stayed at the property before and this Condo was a definite compliment to the building. Everyday, turtles play in the surf right outside the condo, and since our stay was during whale season we had a show everyday. A pod even swam through the docked boats out front! Who needs a Whale watching tour? Not us. I've visited Maui several times and this was BY FAR my best visit! Thank you! Jennifer

Another Wonderful Vacation at the Hula Hale

Just like the first, our second stay at the Hula Hale was fantastic! The condo is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and feels like home from the second you enter. Strolling to Lahaina town centre is lovely from Lahaina Roads, as is relaxing at Baby Beach, swimming in the fabulous pool at Lahaina Roads, and eating on the deck while watching the most amazing sunsets, and breathtaking views. The condo has everything you need for a wonderful vacation - comfortable, private, and excellent location. Three weeks wasn't long enough! We plan to return to the Hula Hale again next year.

Honeymoon in Lahaina

Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us. This was a beautiful location, within walking distance from shopping, food and downtown. We could see sea turtles every morning right from the lanai, the sunsets were amazing, would like to come back to this location in the future. Only concern was I wish someone would have given us a heads up on the construction repairs that was going on in the building at the time of our stay. Every morning it started at 8am and lasted all day, hammering, drilling and jack hammering was very disturbing, besides all of that the place was enjoyable.

My Husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon! This was the most amazing place to stay. We feel so lucky to have spent our time with the beautiful view! Vida was very organized and on top of everything that needed to be done. Anything you could need as far as cooking went was there for us to use! And there were plenty of towels! We would recommend this condo to everyone! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us! We will be back hopefully in the future.

We loved Hula Hale. The unit is located on the second floor (of a five story building) and is directly on the ocean. It is located on the beautiful west coast of Maui, and is close to shopping and resaturants located in Lahaina. The unit is beautifully decorated, and has recently been updated. We especially enjoyed the washer and dryer that were located within the condo. The owner was very gracious and easy to work with. We loved the two weeks that we spent at Hula Hale and would highly recommend the unit to anyone looking for a relaxing way to spend quality vacation time on Maui.

We stayed here for 9 wonderful days. The condo was perfect...sounds of the ocean put us in a very mellow mood. The location was within walking distance to shops and restaurants and had a covered parking place. It's wonderfully equipped and literally steps from a well maintained pool and the ocean. Being first time guests at Val's & Vida's Hula Hale, we throughly enjoyed our vacation. The condo had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean, comfortable, and close to town. The pool was enjoyable and only steps from the ocean. One highlight for us was seeing & photographing the sea turtles right next to the sea wall. Vida was very accomodating and thoughtful of our needs. We hope to return at a future time.
