A bunch of us who went on an education abroad program visited for about 4 days at this house. IT was fabulous. Everything was just perfect. The view from the balcony to the ocean was fabulous and we ate lunch out there every day. There are basically two areas that can serve as living rooms. This means that "the girls" (or adults) can chat and "the boys" ( or children) can watch sports or play at the same time. There are big TVs in almost every space. There are two master bedrooms: one upstairs and one downstairs. The kitchen is huge and fully equipped. This place is perfect for family or friend reunions. It is waling distance to the beach; Cambria is lonly minutes away, as is San Simeon (with the elephant seals) and Hearts Csatle. Do not miss lunch at the Sabastian Store near Heasrt Castle. Paso Robles and the wineries is only 35 minutes up the hill. But the real plus is the house and all that is provided. I would go there again and again. IT was comfortable (the beds are terrific). They have wifi, cable etc. Donna thinks of everything. Do not hesitate. This place is a winner.

For the second year, we spent Christmas at this beautiful home which the owner has decorated for the holidays. Not only does this home have everything you can possibly imagine needing, top flight appliances and furnishings, it exudes the warmth of a home that is much more like the dream home you have always wanted at the beach more than a vacation rental. We have been coming to Cambria for over 20 years and have always rented homes for our family get aways. This is the sort of home where vacation memories are made are not forgotten. In addition to the beauty and comfort of this home, the thoughtfulness of how it is equipped is matched only by the professionalism in dealing with the owner who is accommodating and generous with her lovely home. From the luxury soaps, bath gels, and full equipped kitchen including incredibly luxe coffee makers, toaster, dishwasher and every utensil you could possibly imagine to the washer and dryer that make you want to bring too few clothes just so you can do your laundry here, this house has it all and more. It is a tribute to how the owner respects her guests and wants them to enjoy her home as much as she obviously does. You can not go wrong renting this home, but be careful, you will never want to leave.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. First, Donna takes care of everything and no detail is left unattended. The home exceeded expectations at every turn. It is so comfortable (all beds) for 4 adult couples and is fully stocked with everything you need. The home is ideally located with ocean views out many windows. Additionally, within a few blocks are spectacular walking paths (boardwalks) that stretch along the ocean bluffs and beach for miles. The neighborhood offers exclusivity and serenity, but is close to everything in Cambria and in a great location for day trips to wine tasting, Morro Bay, San Simeon, and more. Morning walks/runs were amazing (breathtaking really) and quick trips to town, simple. We had a spectacular 4 days and look forward to returning!
Owner response:So glad that your family enjoyed their stay and you took the time to leave a review. Hope you are able to return again soon.

Our extended family met up at the house and found it exactly as advertised, comfortable and spacious, clean and well equipped. Every convenience was provided, even including a changing table. The beds were all comfy--something rare in our previous experience. The kitchen was decently equipped, and spacious, and there is a big living room and another family room both with big screen TV's--so the football watchers and food show enthusiasts could both have their way. The beach is a block away, so no ocean view (can't be "perfect" after all!), but walking to it takes about a minute, and in general strolling beach and boardwalk in the area is marvelous, we spent long hours outside in the good weather. The beaches are simply gorgeous, and not over-crowded at all. October is a fantastic time to come--sunny and warm, and Cambria has a cute scarecrow festival, entertaining us on every street corner. We couldn't have been happier. We were close enough to town, with good restaurants to visit (hint: the cheese counter at Indigo Moon has a great selection to purchase), although I wouldn't count on the one local grocery for more than the basics, it's very uninspiring in it's size & selection. Hearst Castle was a few minutes away, we took the evening tour which was absolutely magical; and side trips to Paso Robles and Morro Bay, plus too many great wineries to visit all we wanted to get to, enhanced our time there. Guess we'll have to come back! I'm a "foodie" so have to tell you, don't miss eating at Il Cortile in Paso Robles, a meal worthy of a much bigger city, especially in truffle season. Closer to home, we had great local Morro Bay oysters at The Sea Chest on Moonstone beach--better than the ones we got in Morro Bay itself. Just expect a wait. Donna, who owns the home, is a gracious hostess, responsive, organized, and very accommodating to our needs. The house and area are the perfect spot for a Bay Area/LA family to 'meet in the middle' and relax.

There were eight of us (4 from Nebraska and 4 from Southern Cal). We had a fantastic time in Cambria all thanks to Donna's beautiful home. OMG! The house is amazing, the beds were wonderful, the house was clean and fully equipped. We had a wonderful time walking along the beach (which is a very short distance from the house). We felt like we were at home, cooking dinner in the well equipped kitchen, playing games late into the evening and just enjoying the weather. The location couldn't have been better, close to the beach, sightseeing and of course shopping!. We look forward to staying again. Thanks, Donna, for your hospitality.
Owner response:Ladies, Thank you for taking such care of our home. It was an easy clean and I am happy to send your refunds right out.

We had a very comfortable stay in this luxurious house. The children enjoyed playing on the Wii and the puzzles. Cambria was a great base for us as we explored the neighboring wine region and Hearst castle. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Eight of us(my husband and I, a couple from VA, a couple from TN, and a couple from OK.) spent a glorious week in Donna's beautiful home in Cambria. She was so pleasant to work with. We enjoyed the spacious livingrooms diningroom and especially the front deck with the ocean view for morning coffee. The beds were all super comfortable with lovely linens. Wow, the house was so well equipped we felt like we were at home. The location couldn't have been better we were a short walk from the beach and park. Weather was terrific. We look forward to staying again. Thanks, Donna, for your hospitality
