Nothing like Described

My husband and I were so disappointed with our 1 night stay at this condo where we had a electrical fire, no sheets on the bed, no bathroom towels or wash clothes, no hot water to shower let it run 15 minuetes, a moldy coffee maker, and virtually a 20 minute walk from the room to the pool with dark hallways and 4 elevators that are in need of repair. This place is run down and is nothing like described. We were suppose to stay a week and after the first horrible night we chose to stay else where expecting to be reuimbersed by the owner. However he did not corporate and robbed us taking a one week stay and refusing to refund any money. This was our worst experience in our 15 years of coming to Mexico. We wanted to try something different and go to Manzanillo but it was ruined by our accomodation experience.

Owner response:It was unfortunate that when these guests arrived we had a power outage however within 30 minutes all was restored and everything was working properly. The linens were in the closet and had just been laundered. The guests were not misled in any way and were offered an extended stay at any time in the future without cost. There are guests staying at the condo who arrived immediately following these folks and they are having a wonderful time and would like to rebook for next season. The previous reviews accurately reflect the exceptionally clean and well laid out condo as described in the add. We have very high expectations from our maid and Property Manager and they work very hard to ensure all our guests receive more than what they have expected during their stay. These folks reserved the condo without giving the owners adequate notice and everyone worked very hard to ensure the condo was in tip top shape when they arrived. It would appear they are using this response as a form of retaliation because they did not receive reimbursement. The place was spotless and without any concerns. To complain about having to walk to the pool which actually takes about 4 minutes, not 20 and having to take not 4 but actually 3 elevators from the 8th. floor to the main level is rediculous. The resort is built into the side of a mountain which is part of it's popularity and tourist attraction. As a result no one elevator can go up more than 3 floors at a time. We are truly sorry these folks were so disappointed but I guess one couple out of tens of dozens who were so happy with their overall experiance is probably a pretty good record. We hope these folks enoyed the balance of their holiday where ever they may have stayed as Manzaniollo is truly a majical place to visit.

My wife and I just returned from Manzanillo after staying a week in this condo. The listing description was accurate and possibly even understated. The condo is beautiful, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The listing photos are identical to the actual condo. No "Smoke & Mirrors" with this one. The ammenities described are right on as well. Didn't see even one insect inside of this condo. The owner is very responsive to questions. Most times he answered our questions via email within hours. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable Manzanillo stay. A week, a month or longer...will be easily sustained in this condo. We also rented the Volkswagon convertible for the week and really enjoyed the durability of the vehicle as well as the attention we attracted in this now unusual vehicle. One restaurrant you won't want to miss during your Manzanillo stay is Juanito's. Both Mexican and American food. It's safe to eat salads and the food is great and the prices very affordable.

We had a wonderful time in Manzanillo. Gaby was waiting for us at the gate when we arrived to give us the keys and show us around. The condo was clean and had everything we needed, the kitchen was very well stocked and it was great to be able to wake up to a cup of coffee. As the Soccer World Cup was going on, we enjoyed finding the sports channels in your sat. dish. The beach was incredible and empty, so we enjoyed being able to be in an uncrowded ocean. After checking the condo, our deposit was returned to us as agreed. We were able to decompress after a long year, we enjoyed so much we hope we can come back again next year.

Wow......What a Beautiful Resort, Marina, and Beach

I came for a couple of weeks in January. The condo was very spacious, very clean and everything looked brand new. The "Gourmet" kitchen was more than I expected and the satelite TV reception was much appreciated. The terrace view was of the mountains, marina and beach area. This was the beach where Bo Derek filmed her movie "10". Looked but couldn't find her. The Property Manager looked after all my needs and provided a VW convertible to run around in. That made the vacation. Enjoyed a few drinks from the restaurant at the pool. Fernando looked after me just fine. The new Palapas looked great. Had dinner a couple of times by the marina. (There are 4 restaurants ) The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. I found the staff very helpfull and always had a smile. I have a Time Share condo in Aruba which I rent out for several thousand dollars a week at Xmas and I actually like this place better. Am seriously looking at taking advantage of the Fractional Ownership being offered for this condo. I highly recomend this property and the folks who operate the resort.

Beautiful Home!

We stayed in this condo for 1 month and had an awesome time. The unit is beautifully furnished and fully equipped. We truly felt right at home. The pool area was gorgeous with a fabulous view and lovely restaurant onsite. Internet service was available onsite and the satelitte tv came in handy when we wanted to watch the Winter Olympics.(being Canadian) Everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved walking down to the marina (adjacent to the condo building) and having a quiet dinner or nightcap. The atmosphere was very romantic. Taxis were readily available at all times of the day and very reasonably priced. The only drawback would be for those who are not great walkers and no longer as spry as we used to be. With the building built on a hill, there was a great deal of walking involved to get to and from the main gate, pool and condo unit. Also, if you wanted to walk into town to the stores, it was quite far and very hilly. Mind you, a great hike if you were so inclined. Thank heaven for the taxis!

Owner response:Built in a Moorish style similar to the homes on the Greek island of Santorini Puerto Las Hadas has many elevators taking you within a few short feet of your condo. Ours was on the 8th. floor providing for a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains and ocean. The road known as Hotel Zone' which borders the resort rambles up and down past several beautiful resorts down to the mail Blvd. de Madrid which takes you into town just a few short minutes away. Taxis are stationed 24 hours a day in front of the resort and only charge a few pesos to run you about. We also have a VW convertible conversion availible for our guests. We hope everyone who stays with us feels as relaxed and at home as we do when we come down. It's not just a rental. It's our home.

Las Hadas Hotel/Manzanillo

Stayed for 2 weeks in this condo in Manzanillo, Las Hadas in November. We had a great stay and truly enjoyed the location and amenities. The communication with the owners before, during and after our stay far exceeded our expectations. The condo was nicely decorated, clean & fresh which contributed to a wonderful vacation. Excellent location with easy access to public transportation and taxi's. Security was excellent, almost too good that my visiting daughter wasn't able to pass one evening! We enjoyed our time daily beside the ocean-front pool with excellent drink and food service. Overall found Manzanillo a wonderful place to visit and felt very safe at all time throughout our vacation. Nicely set in the mountainside and beautiful view of the harbour as well.
