We stayed at this "cottage" in August 2011. We had family members coming and going at different times throughout the week and up to 12 a few nights. The house consists of what appears to be the original cottage (no A.C.) that has two bunkbeds in one bedroom and a queen bed in another, a full bath, a family room and a small galley kitchen. The other side of the house is newer and consists of a huge living room, an open, well stocked kitchen, a 1/2 bath with laundry, two queen beds upstairs that share a bath, and an unfinished basement serving as the game room. The house is so huge that at no time did we feel crowded and it was easy to get away if someone wanted a little solitude. Even though there are neighbors on either side, the house is situated for maximum privacy and the view is beautiful. There is a large yard sloping toward the lake with new sod. The firepit was filled with water most evenings so building a campfire was a challenge but did not deter us. The is more a fishing lake than a swimming lake although sand has been added on one side of the dock for those wishing to swim or enjoy the raft. Kids and adults spent hours on the dock reeling in (tiny) fish and we made good use of the kayaks for exploring the lake. We chose a week at the lake as an alternative to the usual holiday gifts that go unused or unappreciated and hoped instead to give a gift of memories that will last for years to come. Several of the kids commented that this was the "best Christmas present ever!!!" That's all we needed to hear to know we made the right decision and we hope to make this an annual or semi-annual tradition. The only negative comments we can make are that, probably because it has been such a wet summer, the exterior of the house is in need of a good cleaning/power washing, including siding, deck, windows and chair cushions. The outdoor carpeting on the floating raft could also use replacing. Overall though, this was a great experience!

I contacted Rita about renting their lovely home last year and just got back from our week at their home. It was all we expected and more. The rooms were good size and accomodated our needs. The large dining table was great for all our meals and the fun time in the evening playing games from their wide variety under the window seat. The lake was wonderfully refreshing and the fishing was terrific, either off the dock or from the pontoon we rented. I had contacted Pine Boat rental and had no problems with them delivering the boat or with adding on an additional day since we were having so much fun. We had bonfires and smores and just a ton of wonderful memories. Only suggestion to the Hoxies would be to screen in a part of the deck....those mosquitoes were wicked as soon as the sun set. Anyone who rents this home will not be dissappointed. It is a deal for all you get, plus more....

Hi, I rented this home back in Aug 2009. Our family has been on vacation since and we are still talking about how much fun we had at this home. The price, location, home and personal contact with the owner was more than we could have asked for. We are now looking at 2012 vacation and look forward to going back to this home. If you are considering this home, you WILL NOT be disappointed. My family and I felt right at home, the fishing was excellent and the relaxation was priceless!!!!

My family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teens) and our close friends family (2 adults,3 teens) rented Tina's lovely lake home for a week in June 2011 and had a marvelous time. The bedroom set up is perfect with 2 bedrooms upstairs that share a master bath and two bedrooms downstairs with their own living room and full bathroom. We have rented numerous vacation homes thru the years and non have ever been stocked the way this home has. Need a cookie sheet? Bottle opener? Tongs? Rolling Pin? Strainer? Stock Pot? The list goes on and on. All of the games for your use makes even a rainy day enjoyable!! Tina was excellent with my barage of questions and was even so kind to call the home to check and make sure that everything was ok for us. We received our deposit check back in the mail 3 days upon our departure, no questions asked!! If you have a large family or multiple families looking for a home that sleeps 10, has more than one bathroom, is on a very nice lake, and is modern with every cooking amentity you can think of...look no further!! ****As far as boat or Pontoon rentals, the previous review recommends Pine Lake Marina, I have a feeling this previous review was posted before new ownership took place. We had nothing but problems with this company. From dropping of boat late, to changing pricing and drop of fees, to wanting to charge an extra half day after THEY wanted to pick the boat up later than what was agreed upon, One owner trying to give us our deposit back after the return of the boat and accidentally charging us again...when trying to rectify, the other owner (Jeff) gets angry and says he isn't returning ANY money and then claims we had it for an extra half day and a light was broken. This is the man that picked up the boat and went around it and checked off that it was fine. Shady shady place..I am still working to get my $200 back.***

We just got home from a week at this Delton home and I couldn't wait to write a recommendation. The property is beautiful, and the home is everything that we expected and more. We've rented numerous houses and this kitchen is the best we've ever had. You'll find EVERYTHING you could want from the automatic coffee maker to the waffle maker. (I couldn't come up with anything that started with "x" "y" or "z.") The indoor games, outdoor games, incredible music system, kayaks, space to spread out both in the house and outside, and lots of panfish for lunches. And Tina was so very patient with all my questions before our arrival. We also rented a pontoon from Pine Lake Boat and Motor. It was the most reasonably priced by far compared to others in the area, and Jeff and Pat were very helpful and delivered it to the launch for us. All in all definitely a wonderful week!
