Nestled among the mountain laurel of the North Georgia Mountains on pristine Lake Burton, lies the 3 acre estate called Laurel Haven.
It is the premiere home on the 62 mile man-made shoreline of Georgia’s highest elevation lake which encompasses 2775 acres of crystal clear water bearing down from the majestic Tallulah River.
Located approximately 2 hours north of Atlanta, this estate welcomes guests who are seeking ultimate comfort and elegance amid a bountiful plethora of mountain and lake activities. Laurel Haven is well-equipped with kayaks, water toys, water-skis and mooring for boat and jet ski rentals.
Laurel Haven is a luxurious multi-level home with striking features and amenities. A winding river pebble driveway leads you up to this astonishing structure made of pure Tennessee fieldstone and Cypress wood.
Inside the home, the first two floors greet you with its beautiful rustic décor of reclaimed oak floors and reclaimed heart pine walls and ceilings. Terrace level floors are bamboo with painted pine walls and ceilings.
There are 3 spacious levels including a loft and approximately 15,000 sq feet of living space with sleeping accommodations for 20. There are 6 beautifully decorated bedrooms and 7.5 baths.
Three of the stately bedrooms are Master Suites with breathtaking views sitting areas, steam showers, bubbler tubs and coffee bars. The bathrooms are each individually designed with chiseled and mosaic travertine floors, antique cabinetry, ceramic or copper wash basins, and slate or Venatino marble walls and showers .
Two gourmet kitchens provide guests with all the essentials for a sous chef and enough space to entertain en masse. The main level kitchen is fully equipped with two side by side Sub Zero700 series refrigerators and a 48” dual fuel Wolf range.
It also boasts two Bosch dishwashers, Meile espresso machine and a hand crafted island with warming drawers.
The terrace kitchen is also fully equipped with the essentials including a 36” dual fuel Aga range, two Sub Zero under counter fridge and freezers, ice machine and is enhanced by copper counter tops and a heart of pine range hood.
The cozy dining/breakfast room has its own fireplace with a heart pine mantle surrounded by tile and lighted by an exquisite hand painted Italian fixture.
Guests will find the Lodge Room a place of warmth and beauty with its overhead pine beams, an antique stained glass window, a turn of the century chandelier from a New England hotel and wrought iron sconces imported from a French Chateau.
Custom wrought iron fire screen doors enclose the fieldstone fireplace while the heart pine bar amenities include subzero refrigerator drawers, wine cooler, copper sink and icemaker.
Two porches and a veranda help draw in the majesty of nature’s surroundings of serene mountains and the tranquil lake. The main level screened porch continues the reclaimed oak floors and rustic décor with Old Havana Fanimation fans, a Tennessee fieldstone fireplace with a comfortable array of decorative seating for over 15 people.
Both main level and terrace level verandas provide scenic overlooks of the lake and mountains and provides warmth from an open air fireplace and grill along with comfortable table & chair seating that allows complete relaxation as you revel in glistening sunrises and sunsets.
The house has fully automated security w/ cameras, lighting, HVAC, Wi-Fi, audio and video features throughout the house and boathouse. Security cameras and intercom are connected at gate and porch. There are also collections of board games, toys and books, trampoline and rope swing.
The Boathouse and dock area is designed for outdoor enjoyment as the upper deck contains a full masonry stone fireplace and gas grill. There are boat slips available for those wishing to rent boats, jet skis or other lake crafts at the nearby marina.
