We loved the Country Cabin. It was exceptionally clean, confortable and looked exactly as the pictures described it. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The list of activities provided was extremely helpful in deciding where we wanted to visit. It was furnished with everything you could possible need. The reason I did not rate it as excellent was because we could not get any of our regular channels or shows on the Satellite Dish TV (no news channels, no weather channel, and none of the weekly shows we always watch). In lieu of this it would have been good to be able to watch the DVD movies that was on hand but we could not get the DVD to work no matter what we did. We would recomment this property to a friend or relative. We drove into Winchester, VA about an hour away and also to Sheperdstown, WV and had lunch at the Bavarian Inn although it was a long way to go.

My boyfriend and I stayed here on Thanksgiving and really enjoyed it! She had everything there that we could have possibly needed and we felt right at home. (It is also private and the area is beautiful.) We were so happy that we were able to bring our 3 dogs, who had a great time playing and exploring there and the kitchen was plenty for us to make our Thanksgiving dinner in (She seemed to have all the tools we needed). I definitely want to go back and bring some friends...I would recommend this place to anyone!

I spent last weekend at this cabin. It is very secluded but close to town Very well set-up with all needs(except your food). Clean and well maintained. Lots of things to do close by or do nothing and watch the deer and wild turkeys walk by. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The owners have the system down pat and it really shows.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at your cabin to celebrate our dog's birthday!! It was everything we were hoping for - a cozy log cabin with a real fireplace where we enjoyed crackling fires each night while playing bingo. We loved our happy hours on the back porch watching the deer and turkeys; the kids loved dipping their toes in the babbling stream, running around the big grassy yard and roasting marshmallows on the grill. The kitchen was sparkling clean - and had everything we needed to cook dinner each night. We would definitely rent this cabin again!!

We had a wonderful time in your beautiful Cabin. It has a very comfortable warm feeling about it. We chopped up some kinlin and left that by the fire place. Also left some wood for you on the front porch. Took some great wild life pictures that I will send to you next week. I fell in love with the area, the people and the piece and quiet. Look for the extra day payment Monday morning. Thank you again, Sherry

I wanted to let you know that you have a lovely cabin. I could live in a home like yours year round, even! It is truly cozy and well stocked. I enjoyed the fact that so many amenities were already provided for us...and that all we needed to bring was our own food. The beds and furniture were comfortable as well. Thanks again for all your help, and for facilitating our visit in every way. If we ever have the opportunity to be in the area again, I know who to call! Wendy

We had a great time in the cabin – felt like a home away from home. The weather was great as was the setting and the enclosed porch where even for the month of October was great to sit on. The only thing that was missing were the fish, which were not biting. Apart from that we had a wonderful time. We did lots of sightseeing and even visited the Perry Zoo down the road and enjoyed it as well. My daughter had never been to the mountains living in Belgium so she really loved it, especially the abundance of wild life. The trees had started getting their fall colors as well. Would recommend the cabin to anyone looking to stay in the mountains. We all really loved it, the dogs as well. Thanks again,Eliane

I can’t think of a single thing that was missing. I was grateful to find the condiments in the fridge – although I did bring most everything with me. I forgot to pack dressing for our salads, so I picked up a bottle at the nearby store… left it in the fridge for your next forgetful guest! The binder with the local and more distant attractions PLUS directions to get to them was a fabulous touch. We took the directions and went to Luray Caverns for the day. I was pleased with the thoughtfulness! We enjoyed our stay immensely. Glad to find a dog-friendly place to stay as our mutts are family too and we hate to leave them behind. Many thanks!Sarah

Thank You so much for the short notice in letting me share your Beautiful Cabin. I needed a Weekend Retreat and you were extremely Accomodating. The Cabin was Absolutely Beautiful! We loved the cleanliness of the Cabin and the charming surroundings. The nights were chilly for August and the Fireplace was such a treat. It was so nice to wake up and see the beautiful deer in the backyard as we enjoyed our freshly brewed coffee. The beds were Perfect as well as the kitchen and living room areas. Could not have asked for more! We will definantly be back for future visits. Thanks Again!

Loved your charming and very tidy cabin! There is so much to see and do in the area. The notebook with destinations and directions was awesome! The fact that you're pet friendly is the best part of all! We'll be back

You have a lovely cabin, and we were impressed with how tastefully it was decorated and how immaculately clean it was. The setting was beautiful, and we especially enjoyed the screened-in porch, where we ate most of our meals, or just simply relaxed with a good book--glancing up occasionally to view a graceful deer grazing in the yard. We also enjoyed the two beautiful parks (Trout Pond and Lost River). I love to cook, so I was especially pleased with the kitchen and all the conveniences that you so thoughtfully supplied--all so nice and in such good condition. I found everything I needed. Thanks again!

We had a BLAST! Everyone really enjoyed the cabin. We were surprised at how big it was. The binder with all the information was really helpful especially for things to do. My children wanted us to quit our jobs and move there! My dogs really enjoyed the water and the freedom of the outdoors. I really appreciate the fact that they allow dogs in their home. It is very difficult to find a place that will offer all that that do and still allow pets. They after all, are a part of our family and it is very hard to leave them behind. I know that given the opportunity, we will come back! Thank so very much

Our visit to the cabin was just wonderful! Beautifully decorated and very country cozy. Just what we needed. Very private and the views are magnificent. Our dog Bozo loved all the room he had to run around. Hiking at the park was a lot of fun too. We can’t wait to come back again and hopefully stay longer next time!

Simply Country describes it best, it was just what we needed, peace and relaxation. We were only here for 3 days and it was great having the Trout Pond Park so close to enjoy the activities it offered. The cabin was comfortable and reminded us of simpler times. It was peaceful, quiet and private. We cooked out on the grill every day and it was very convenient having a store close by for the few things we forgot. We look forward to coming back again and escaping our hectic lives for a short time. Thanks for everything, John and Sue
