A charming Arts and Crafts thatched cottage within the picturesque and peaceful village of Fortingall. Set in a magnificent & historic landscape the cottage offers comfortable accommodation for up to six people. It has a delightful mature garden which provides a high degree of privacy and color throughout the year. The cottage backs on to natural woodland from which you can climb directly to the mountains. There is private parking for two vehicles & a shed for bicycle storage.

Designed by the talented Architect James MacLaren in 1886 the cottage enjoys a south facing location at the foot of Glen Lyon, the longest and one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland. A two minute walk away is the award winning Fortingall Hotel offering gourmet dining with an excellent village pub with real ales and good food.

The nearest centre is Aberfeldy which offers interesting shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Pitlochry (about 22 miles) is home to the Festival Theatre and is on the mainline railway from London to Inverness, with a sleeper service.

The area offers a great variety of outdoor and leisure pursuits: quiet roads for cycling, water sports; fishing, canoeing, rafting, sailing; golf, walking and climbing. Local Munros include Schiehallion & Ben Lawers. Landrover safaris are available close-by. Game can be bought from the local estate. Nearby attractions include Loch Tay, The Birks of Aberfeldy with its waterfalls and dramatic landscape.
