A Great Place Near the Beach

We highly recommend this home for adults or families. The home is very clean and well equipped. After a day or so, you readily think of it as home. Area residents are friendly and casual. The neighborhood is stable and well-kept - a nearby elementary school had over 100 bicycles ridden there by students. The location is primo - Atlantic beaches, a public park, tennis courts, shopping and restaurants are all in walking/bicycling distance. The enclosed, well-landscaped back yard is great for barbeques and letting the kids run around. Highway A1A is a fun beach drive, and stops along the way from Cocoa Beach to Sebastian Inlet show the variations from broad and flat to steep and rugged. Another nearby scenic drive is the Tropical Trail along narrow Merritt Island. Historic areas of Melbourne, Eau Gallie and Melbourne Beach invite walking and browsing. Locally owned restaurants abound. Highway 192 west from Melbourne is a shortcut alternative route to the Disney World area. Again, our high recommendation for this place.
Owner response:Thank you for your comments. We try to make our beach house as comfortable as possible. We love the area and plan to retire there.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

Nice property. House is a little older, but nearly everything in the place is new, including things like windows. Everything worked, including wireless internet. This is a fun part of Florida. Lots of outdoorsy things to do (keyaking, fishing, biking)--if you are past the 'Disney phase' of your life.

We had the pleaseure of staying at this home with our 6 year old daughter over the 4th of July weekend after being at Disney World for the week. The home is very comfortable and convenient to everything. We went bike riding to the beach and to breakfast. The local residents are very friendly and helpful. The owners made a book with helpful information about the area, with recommendations for places to eat, play and explore. We highly recommend this home for either families, or adults only who would like to feel like they are in paradise.
