Location: Although this tranquil forest setting seems miles from civilization, it is just 1.6 miles from River Road, a few minutes drive to the DuBrava beach on the Russian River and less than five minutes to downtown Guerneville's shopping, dining, nightlife, and Johnson's Beach.
House: Pepperwood (~1200sf) is a custom contemporary retreat with a great romantic ambiance. Beautifully maintained, this home features quality furnishings, open-beam ceilings, skylights, and an open floor plan. The living room has very comfortable seating around a woodstove and large cable TV with DVD, and features a wall of picture windows with redwood forest views.
The kitchen is sleek and well-equipped, and has bar seating for two. There's a dining set that seats four close at hand. There are french doors leading to a large deck off this main living space. This home sleeps four in two bedrooms with queen beds and luxury linens, and a queen sleeper in the living room.
The tiled bathroom has shower only. This home has wireless high-speed Internet access.
Grounds: With beautiful forest views and a very quiet, secluded ¼ acre, Pepperwood is a true getaway. Off the main living space, the spacious, private deck provides outdoor living at its best. There's a dining set for six, a gas grill, loungers, a dart board, a sunken four-person hot tub, and outdoor speakers and lighting, all overlooking seasonal Hulbert Creek. The redwood and pepperwood trees surrounding the deck create a very special "in the treetops" feeling.
Please Note: Generally limited to four people, an additional child is permitted for a fee of $15/night.

The special touch with the up-lit trees gave you a feeling of being in a treehouse. Cute home, modern conveniences.....it was lovely. Altho it seems sooo far out, we were only 5 minutes from town!
