Our stay in your beautiful 'homey' cottage exceeded our expectations on all fronts. You have an amazing place--so tranquil, quiet & serene. It was a pleasure and joy being here..we feel fully relaxed! Finally we were very pleased with all your courtesy & warm hospitality. Thank you very much.

Thank you for another great week in your cottage. It was comfortable, quiet & pretty. Loved the owl that perched atop your satellite dish! .

What a lovely setting & comfortable cottage! Private & quiet. We loved it here. Thank you for all the nice touches provided. And the breakfasts! ooo-la-la Delicious! Healthy & artistically presented with violas and pansies and fragrant flowers.

The Perfect Place for Two Weeks....

Guest: A&T from Georgia
Date of Stay: 06/04/11 Review Submitted: 08/06/11

After half a dozen trips to Bellingham in the last ten years, we have found the perfect place to stay! An oasis, surrounded by sights and sounds that overwhelm the senses; yet less than 10 minutes from the center of Bellingham. The cottagae is charming and inviting and the 'big black book' is such a wealth of information. Most impressive, however is the warmth and hospitality with which we were treated during our stay. Our only regret is that our stay is over!

If you are looking for a place to 'get away', this is just for you. We stayed for a week, and thoroughly enjoyed every day. The property is in excellent condition, well maintained, and has just the right amount of 'creature comforts'. The beautiful view from the porch, overlooking the lake, was picturesque. The owners made us feel welcome and comfortable. The rowboat trips around the lake made this property definately special and memorable. We would highly recommend this to any couple looking for peace and quiet. We want to return here on our next vacation to the Bellingham area.

I appreciate every detail of your beautiful cottage. When I'm on the floor stretching I look up & see the trees out of the high windows. Everywhere I look there is beauty and artistry & care. I feel blessed to be here. Thank you for offering this space for others..perfect place for a retreat. I feel renewed & refreshed and almost ready to head back...

Wonderful "home base"

Guest: Ken & Janet (Beaverton, OR)

The cottage more than met our expectations from the description and photos. A truly peaceful setting for reading, walking, rowing and shooting some great pics of the gardens and lake. This was our home base for exploring Bellingham, Fairhaven, Mt. Baker and the many scenic drives in the country nearby. The owners were there when needed, and invisible the rest of the time. This was a great two-day getaway for us; we gladly recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet refuge!

Weekend away from the kids. What a treasure this place is. We loved ending each day with a row around the lake and a nap. Last nite we could even see the stars through all the skylights. Can't wait to return.

This Place Has it All

Guest: Michael John (Lake Villa Ilinois)
Date of Stay: 09/01/09 Review Submitted: 03/26/10

The cottage is situated just minutes outside of Bellingham for people who like the harbor towns , fishing , etc. about an hour from Mt. Baker where theres endless hiking and sightseeing. Its as clean as the day it was built and modern, over looking a lake with mountains in the background. Very peaceful sitting on the porch reading and overlooking the water. Its tucked back in off the road in a wooded location. The owners were very helpful if you needed anything, and you never really saw them around at all. Its definately on my list of places to stay when we are in the area. Water, mountains, serenity, and minutes from town, what else do you need?

Owner response:Just wanted to comment there aren't any steps at our cottage so anybody w/ any joint issues wouldn't have to worry about stairs. The bathroom however, is not wheelchair friendly.

Here to attend a Music Festival. This place is much nicer than anyplace we've found in Bellingham in the past years. Even better than your website. We loved the absolute quiet & peaceful atmosphere.
