I was staying in this Cabin for 3 days from Jan 20. Living there is very good specially with other 6 friends. We enjoyed the beautiful white winter. The land and lake were beautifully covered by snow and we had such a nice gorgeous scenery that have never had before. I am sure that we will go there again in summmer time to see the nice lake and enjoy the weather. Every body will like this private nice property. Inside the cottage was very warm and convenient. Thanks to the owners who provided me all the facilities for living there. Tata Vancouver

Unforgetable weekend

Guest: Johnny (North Vancouver, BC)
Date of Stay: 01/20/12 Review Submitted: 01/29/12

I was there with my wife and 4 other couples friends last weekend, arrived in a -17 snowing evening. The access was easy and the warm wood burning fireplace and clean beautiful log house with complete modern facilities gave us such a pleasureous evening with BBQ, wine and fun card games. we enjoyed the evening and woke up the next morning with the smell of our omelet and freshly brewed coffee, noticing the unbelievable scenery surrounding us. We walked in the powder snow to the lake and even walked on the frozen lake for an hour, taking pictures, relaxing in the quiet and refreshing environment. Our two nights and three days of stay was in a blink of an eye. we enjoyed so much and decided to re-visit this magnificent place again in the summer to see the other beautiful face of this hidden treasure. For people looking for a moments away from hectic work and life style this vacation place is highly recommended.

Great time had by All

Guest: DJP (Vancouver)
Date of Stay: 10/07/11 Review Submitted: 10/13/11

My family (3 teens, 2 adults) had a wonderful time at the cabin for a long weekend, We hiked, spent time on the lake in the paddleboat (lake access is a 5 minute walk), took our dirt bikes into the local hills, and hosted an impromptu Thanksgiving dinner for 12. We were very happy with the accommodations, the space, the location (no cell phone service past Pemberton helped us "unplug" but the wi-fi made internet possible so we weren't totally cut off). We found it clean and well appointed, We will recommend it to friends and hope to be back next year if not sooner.

Idyllic Getaway

Guest: Glenn (Vancouver)
Date of Stay: 08/07/11 Review Submitted: 09/14/11

This is a spectacular location; mountains all around, a lake on the property, impressive waterfall (if you are willing to hike a bit and truly relaxing. We were warmly welcomed by Mahine and Mike, the owners of this lovely property, who provided us with all we needed to know about the amenities and left us to ourselves to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. And we did enjoy ourselves. Cocktails on the deck in the evening with the sun burnishing the mountains in red and gold hues. Coffee in the morning with the deer who come by to graze on the apples and cherries from the trees on the lawn. We hiked to nearby Place Creek Falls, trail access is on the property and Joffre Lakes which also close by (by car). You can be as active or inactive as you want to be. We had a great time and got just what we were looking for. It was perfect.

Weekend Summer Stay

Guest: Ryan (West Vancouver, BC, Canada)
Date of Stay: 08/05/11 Review Submitted: 08/14/11

My friends and I stayed at the log cabin for an extended weekend and we had a great time. The cabin is very nice, with a great blend of modern amenities in a rustic log cabin. The surrounding area is of course beautiful and Gates Lake was great for boating and swimming. The owner was also very helpful with hiking and fishing advice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place to anyone.

Beautiful Relaxing Location

Guest: Liam and Mary (Seattle WA)
Date of Stay: 07/16/11 Review Submitted: 08/11/11

My family and I had a great vacation here in July. The log cabin is beautiful and is set back about a 3 min walk from the lake in a very open area where you can see mountains surrounding you. It was great to wake up in the morning and sit there with our coffee and enjoy the view. We saw a ton of dear walking through the area. If you are interested in fishing, the lake is a great place (and I highly recommend Brad Knowles of "Pemberton Fish Finder" who is an amazing fish guide). Liam

Hidden Treasure

Guest: Alex (New York)
Date of Stay: 07/04/11 Review Submitted: 07/14/11

I am hesitant to tell anyone how nice this place was, because I'd rather not have to fight to get back on the rental calendar in the future. Arriving after a day of travel from New York City, this property proved to be well worth the effort. It is the only way to genuinely experience the beauty and tranquility of this part of the world. I found the place to be exactly as advertised. Clean and well equipped for the casual visitor. As nice as the photos are of the surrounding environment they can't come close to the actual beauty and drama of the view out the windows, from the deck, or while exploring the property and lake. If you have been searching for a true escape from the reality of the common hustle and bustle, your search has ended.

A great weekend getaway

Guest: aynsb (Vancouver)
Date of Stay: 05/27/11 Review Submitted: 05/31/11

My friends and I had a fabulous weekend at this cabin. The cabin itself is cozy and welcoming with a beautiful deck, on which we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. The scenery is breathtaking, rain or shine. I wondered from the photos if it could possibly be as private as it seemed and it was in fact more so. The owners are friendly and accommodating, and the cabin is fully equipped for a relaxing and worry-free vacation. We barely ventured off the property- only to pick up a few odds and ends in nearby Pemberton- but if organic and local food is your thing, it seems that this is a great spot. We found at least a few farms around Pemberton and Mount Currie selling local veggies, baking, etc. This cabin is a gem, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a rustic BC getaway. The only drawback was that sleeping arrangements were a little awkward for three couples but totally workable for a weekend, and worth it to be on such a beautiful and reasonably priced vacation. I'd love to go back.

A relaxing, peaceful weekend away from it all. This place is more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. Thank you for sharing your home. Loved the waterfall, the canoe and the toasty woodstove. Would love to come back.

Perfect place for a quiet get-away

Guest: Sean and Nicole (Ontario)
Date of Stay: 08/28/10 Review Submitted: 03/22/11

My wife and I stayed here for our trip to B.C. at the beginning of September - we wanted to stay in the country, and we wanted to be able to cook for ourselves due to her Celiac Disease. To sum it up in 1 word, this place was breathtaking. I can't count the number of times we just went outside on the porch to stare in awe at the mountains, or the deer that were casually eating the apples on the ground. The cabin is surrounded by mountains on every side, and there's a beautiful lake only a 5 minute walk away. The cabin itself was very clean, very cozy, and a great place to unwind. We had a lot of day trips planned for going into Vancouver (2-3 hours away) but the cabin was so relaxing that we canceled 1 or 2 of those trips and just sat by the fireplace and played board games or watched movies. There's a lot of room at the cabin, inside and out. There's plenty of walking paths (a waterfall not *too* far away) and the closest town is only 20-30 minutes away. During our stay we got to enjoy the company of deer and bears (they're shy, don't worry), and had the luck of enjoying a few thunderstorms which are quite different than in Ontario where we're from. There's quite a few towns/villages on the way to Vancouver, including Whistler which is a great place to make some day trips to. The owners of the cabin were very nice to us. We had no problems with them at all and they gave us a tour when we got there. I definitely recommend this cabin. It's truly relaxing not having to worry about life! We hope to go back some day =)
