This is a beautiful location with a very nice cabin. We drove around and found many places to fish, we even caught steel head and brown trout at the cabin and ended up catching over 40 fish for our group. If you really enjoy peace and quiet, this is the place for you. We can't wait to schedule another visit.

After having looked at many other places to stay near Trinity River our family decided that this was the best pick and boy were we right! This place was definitely worth our 10 hours drive from L.A. for sure!!! All of us truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful place and would recommend to anyone who is looking for peace and quiet.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this house right on the river. We loved listening to the water flowing by, day and night. We appreciated being removed from interruptions like cell phones and Internet, but still well-provided with a stocked kitchen (appliances, knives, pots and pans, etc.), a mish-mash of toys for our 2 year old to explore, and a large deck to relax on. The owners were kind and helpful, even mailing us an item that we left behind. We would highly recommend this spot and hope to return in the future!

We had a very restful and relaxing stay in this peaceful and well-located cabin. The whole Trinity River area is stunningly beautiful. The cabin is truly right by the river and the sound of the water is wonderful to fall asleep to. We arrived in pouring rain but the next day it brightened up and then it became hotter day by day, reaching the 90s by 4th July. However it was cooler at night, so we slept well. Neither of us fishes, but the (huge!) deck is a wonderful place to sit and watch the river and the world go by - and to watch local wildlife. The owners were quick to respond helpfully to any concerns. We like to cook and found what we needed in the kitchen. We found two good restaurants in Lewiston and also enjoyed Weaverville - a lovely small town, with restaurants, cafes, shops, two museums (both well worth visiting - the Joss house and the main museum, next to each other) and things going on. We particularly enjoyed Weaverville's 4th July parade and celebrations. A visit to the One Maple Winery (just down the road from the cabin) was enjoyable and worthwhile. Our nine days flew by!

The five of us (3 human, 2 canine) had a fun stay at this cabin! The Trinity area is a true sportsman's paradise; this cabin is right on the river and you can fish the Trinity from the back yard. If they're not biting in the Trinity River, just shoot to Lewiston Lake a few miles away. We caught all kinds of rainbows there, ranging from 3 1/2 pounds on down. We also booked a whitewater rafting trip with Big Foot Rafting and had a wild and wet journey! The cabin itself is fully equipped and very comfortable, the owners are easygoing and hassle-free to deal with. The locals are friendly & the neighborhood is extremely quiet and so this one really lives up to its billing. We're definitely planning to return some day.

What a treat it was to stay at this cabin for 9 days. All the comforts of home in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Such a bonus to be able to fish the Trinity right out in back of the cabin. And the proximity of the place to Lewiston and Trinity Lakes made for endless possibilities when looking for things to do and see. However, most of the time, we were content to stay put and just enjoy the surroundings. They were hard to beat. The owners were wonderful to deal with and we cannot wait to book our next trip back up there. Our new favorite place!

We just recently enjoyed the serenity and beauty of this darling river house. We didn't fish but could see fish jumping and really enjoyed the sounds of the river and watching all the many species of water birds. There were deer closeby also. Everything was nicely maintained and we hope to return. jodi and ken gunderman

With the Trinity River overflowing, she still caught fish, and right off the deck of the house, which has a fishing cabin feel about it. Honest and timely, Jill and Henrik were accommodating and quick to respond to any concern we might have. The neighbors are nice, and the area beautiful.

The "Cabin on the Trinity River" has everything a family could possibly want in a vacation cabin - 3 swings on the tree in the front yard (including a tire swing), well furnished interior, giant deck overlooking the pristine Trinity River, and a huge yard between the deck and the river where our kids were able to run around. The stars are incredible as well - we laid out on the deck a couple of nights ago and watched the meteor showers - amazing! This is our 6th straight annual cabin trip and all four of us voted it number one. We will definitely come back again someday. Almost forgot - there is a family of 8 deer that came to visit the backyard every morning and night - we even got to see a fawn suckling. Almost forgot the resident hummingbirds and daily visits from the woodpecker - very cool.
