Only 45 minutes away from Seattle, and a short ferry ride to Whidbey Island's south end, the cabin is just a few minutes from the Clinton ferry dock. Once there, you'll find that this great Whidbey Island Vacation getaway is just a walk away to a wonderful beach with views of the ferries crossing, private boat ramp access, and a small park & playfield. Bring yourself and your boat or kayak to the island!
The beach is excellent for quiet walks, beachcombing/exploring (driftwood & beach glass), bird/bald eagle & wildlife viewing, and the occasional whale sighting. Abundant fishing, crabbing, & clamming are all possible in season.
Located on a corner lot, the big yard is great for lawn games like bocce or horseshoes. Sit by the firepit and enjoy the giant open sky at night, sipping drinks or roasting marshmallows.
A guest will find easy access to groceries, hardware, restaurants and bar, coffee, and local shops. Just a 10 minute drive up the island is the historic, waterside town of Langley with it's quaint shops, art galleries, excellent eateries, jewelry, and antique stores (city/dining guides available in welcome folder). Also, the island offers many wineries featuring local & regional vintages.
While on Whidbey, a visitor can enjoy many outdoor activities, including, but definitely not limited to: hiking & biking (acres of parks and trails), kayaking (easy in/out from our beach), bird/wildlife watching, running (road or trail) and many off-leash dog areas, including our beach and the beautiful Double-Bluff beach area (skim boarding and tide-pool viewing). But, if weather keeps you indoors, there's shopping, dining, antiquing, live theatre, a movie theater, coffee shops, and bars to keep you dry & happy!

As you come up to the Wayfarer cabin, it is neat, crisp and, well, cabin-sized. As you open the door , expecting an equally neat but compact space inside, you are wonderfully surprised to fine three discreet rooms within, a bedroom with a delicious mattress, a big bathroom with tub and fluffy towels and perfect vintage tiling and then the livingroom / kitchen area, both delineated from the other and ample with the things you need in each. The livingroom has DVD's , cable, a comfy couch and chair, throws and great magazines. The kitchen is stocked with dishtowels , pots and pans and dishes, ready to go and all very tip-top and clean. The price and the dog friendly policy only add to the wonderful surprise of this sweet place and it's location near a quiet beach can't be beat.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+.

This cozy little cabin is just as cute in person. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Inside was very clean, well supplied, modern, and comfortable. The owners, Kelly and Rich, were very easy to work with. They offererd quick and detailed replies, lots of resources, and flexibility. Look forward to returning soon!

Perfect for a two-person romantic weekend get-away! Great location. Cute house. Clean. Plenty of yard space. 10 minute walk down to beach. Excellent experience; we will be back again soon!

Absolutely Perfect! The cabin was just as we had imagined; clean,cozy,comfortable,well furnished and equipped. The queen size bed was very comfortable, nice large bathroom. Although it is not on the beach the street was very quiet and we sat outside and read. Just a short energetic walk to the beach looking east to Mukilteo and the Cascades. We had a wonderful time in this great get-away. Will come again.

•Just what the doctor ordered. A one night getaway with just my dog & guitar. Spent the day wondering beaches and looking for whales on the cliffs of Langley. I would definitely stay again. Very cozy and comfortable, with everything I needed.

My girlfriend and I spent a lazy weekend in your cozy cabin and found it to be profoundly accepting of our laziness. While it had all the modern comforts of home, the real luxury was found in the stroll on the nearby beach and the stillness of the evenings. Thanks so much!
