This gorgeous log cabin, nestled on 20 acres on the banks of the beautiful Bitterroot River, is located only 21 miles south of Missoula. It sits on a small knoll with a green lawn running to the river's edge just 100’ away.
This two story log cabin features a nice sized living room with knotty pine cathedral ceilings, four skylights and a beautiful large stone fireplace framed with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river. The very comfortable master bedroom is on the main floor with a queen sized log bed and lots of windows and wonderful views. There is a full bath with a claw foot tub/shower next to the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped including microwave and a coffee maker. Upstairs there are two nice sized bedrooms with a queen log bed in one and two twin log beds in the other. They both have great views.
The gas BBQ grill is on the covered porch overlooking the river and there is a screen porch as well. With over a 1000’ of river frontage, good wade-able trout fishing is only a cast away. The property is quite private with the 20 acres sitting at the end of the road with the Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge across the river yet only 21 miles to Missoula. The Bitterroot Riverbend Cabin is a perennial favorite for many guests.

Great cabin for Family and Fishing

We have been staying at this cabin for 3 years. Walking out to fish the Bitterroot River is a fly fisherman's dream. Sitting around the outside fire pit is so relaxing especially on a clear night when you can see the night time sky so clearly. If you want a truly unique Montana river experience this is the place to stay.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.
