This beautiful home sits tucked away on a peaceful & tranquil island named Russell's Island, just across the bridge from the quaint little fishing village called Spanish Wells.
"Ocean Breeze" overlooks the beautiful Caribbean waters of the Bahamas. It is a 2 minute walk from the pristine, pink sand beach where you can enjoy the sport of bone fishing, or just sit and watch the breath-taking sunsets. On weekends, you will see the cruise ships passing from the balcony/deck that overlooks the ocean. Awesome view at all times. You will also have access to a private beach on Spanish Wells where you can soak up the sun's rays or have your own private party.
The Food Fair "Mini-Publix" Grocery store is about a 5 minute drive by golf cart or you can pedal on bicycle and have your groceries delivered for a small fee of $5.00.
Getting here is easy with daily trips from Nassau on the Bahamas Fast Ferries "Bohengy" or from Fort Lauderdale/Miami Airport on Twin Air, Continental Express or US Airways. A taxi will cost you about $30 from North Eleuthera Airport to Gene's Bay Dock and then a water taxi will bring you to Spanish Wells (which will cost an additional $4)
This is the "Perfect Getaway" for families who just want to do nothing but relax and enjoy the carefree life of the Bahama Islands. The island is crime free and completely safe for children. Lobster fishing is the main industry. There are no bars or clubs on the island, however, there is a liquor store on Gene's Bay Dock where you can purchase and bring with you or call and have it delivered to Spanish Wells dock by ferry. There are 3 churches on the island - Baptist, Methodist and Brethren. A bike ride around the island is about 4 miles.
There is also a cute little quilt shop that you must visit where "home-made quilts" are designed and made.
If you are looking for a clean, extremely quiet and not-so touristy place, this is the island to visit.

This is my home (that I absolutely adore & treasure) that I have lived in for 15 years, it is extremely huge for 1 person and 3 dogs, so I have now decided to rent it out and get a smaller place.
